Is the water pressure right ? There should be a gauge on the boiler somewhere.
Something like 0.5 to 1 bar when switched off, and higher than that when running.

Has anyone been bleeding radiators recently?

I am a gas engineer mate, so what boiler is it? Yes check one for heating pressure and also may sound silly but have you got gas :)

Also i thought perhaps you need to check a few things, i,e does the fan come on. If it doesnt then the gas valve wont let gas pass

Could also be pcb problems, or just a simple dirty connection on the ignition. Pull wires out the clip back in

Does it try to spark?

Also if you could tell me what boiler it is, i could perhaps tell what fault it is as most nowadays (jesus i am only 19) come with built in fault diagnonics. For instance on a vaillant ecotec/ecomax it flashes a fault code like F25, which is low pressure :)

Sorry for my spelling

It just stopped over night. Nothing has been touched or changed at all

Add to the fact the landlord is in france for 3 weeks so its in my hands

Its getting gas and leccy 100% (smells and shocks ).

Its also not locking out like it should do when there is a fault and is decting when hot water / heating is needed and flowing the water - just not heating it.

It was reading .5 bar so got it back up to .7 as thats its standard operating pressure according to the book.

Ive wiggled every connector and done everyting I possibly can without testing sensors for voltages etc.

Ta for the number Chris - now got someone coming to have a peek tomorrow lunchtime :)

Its a Halstead combi boiler thats about 1.5 years old (new stuff is :ghey:).

I can get a small humming noise when its on which im assuming is a fan although the main flue fan is not coming on so it must be detecting that its not lighting.

Dont think thats its even sparking tbh but cant confirm that 100%.

Ta for all the help chaps - tis much appreciated :notworthy
