hi jez - need help diagnosing a problem - the car sounds awful - it could be an oil starvation head internals problem- the cam lobes are scored and lipped and the cam shaft covered in dry hard flaky gunk -It runs sorta ok atm .could i bring it in next week? Whens best ? im only 25 miles away -bracknell/wokingham. If it needs rebuilding are there any flexi payment plans available to very trust worthy individuals?

Ok well 1st off i'd stop driving it, and 2nd, it sounds as though your cam spray bars have gunked up at some point, preventing them from spraying oil onto the cams to keep them lubed.

If the oil spray bars are blocked and the cams worn then the engine probably needs a rebuild.

If you'd like to come over so I can check it out that won't be a problem. Give me a call.

I'm afraid we don't do credit - we would need payment in full before the car is taken back. What we normally do is take 50% of the estimated cost and then the remained on collection.
