hi guys,

Gonna loose my 1/4 mile cherry this year :) finally.
My question is, How do i know if i will have a 100mph speed over the line? i have never done it before so don't know if i would need a helmet.

What sort of speeds over the line at each tuning stage 1, 2, 3, 3a would people usually get.

I'm currently about 280bhp at the wheels, what time would i be likely too see @ 1/4 mile and terminal speed?

Cheers Jon

you should be over 100mph at the line with that power,

Anywhere between 100 and 115mph

Santa Pod helmet is required at over 110mph

Shakespeare Raceway helmet is required at over 100mph

shakespear is probably where i'll be going. Better take one then. i guess i can do a run and see if i need a helmet yeah?

I'm a tall bugger so may be a problem to fit me and a helmet in the car.

depends heavily if u can launch or not

i had real troubles initially and only managed a best of low 14 secs, when ade took the car off me few minutes later he ran 13.6.

car was running 275bhp and 295lbs torque

280 at the wheels should surely get you a 110+ terminal :)

I once did 88mph at the end of the 1/4 mile and went back in time. Ended up back at the start line to try again.:wack:

well we'll see what i run next weekend at the pod, i was at 254.5 bhp but only at 0.9 bar, turning it up to 1.0 or 1.1 over the weekend to see how it runs, stage 1 i was crossing the line at 96 - 98 mph with a fasted time of 14.252 on a T25  which was not bad, now at stage 2 we'll see what happens.
