My girlfriend came up trumps this year and got me a voucher for a half day trackday tuition at any of the Brands Hatch Leisure circuits!!! :D :D
I now have to choose what car I want to drive: the choices are Proton Satria 16vGTI+Lotus Elise, Audi TT(gay!)+ Formula brands single deater, Satria 16v GTI, Caterham 7, Rallying a 206GTI or Escort Cossie,4x4 Landrover (???!!), Formula first single seater or Audi A4 skid car. I reckon on going for the Caterham or the Elise+Satria days, as it will give me a chance to go round in a rwd car which will benefit my on road skills too. I quite fancy the single seater but would prefer summat more "tintop" than an open wheeler as I've always fancied myself as a bit of a Steve Soper!!!;)
Have any of you lot done one of these days and if so have you got any feedback on which is the best choice of ones to avoid?

My views from a day at Jonathan Palmer's Bruntingthorpe circuit -

Single Seater - too wierd (like gear stick on right) to learn very much in the time available.

Caterham - brilliant fun, best car of all for learning how to balance steering and power through RWD

Elise - incredibly basic, performance wise nothing special IMHO if you're used to a 200

Landrover - fun to go seriously off road, amazing the slopes they can tackle.

Proton Satria 16vGTI? Palmer uses Honda Type R, best for getting tuition since you and the instructor can talk easily. Assume it's FWD though...

My Views of Ferrari F355 Experience at Thruxton.

MG ZS - Good Fun, Handled Well.
Formula Renault Single Seater Racer - Oh what fun to be had with a Renault.
Ferrari F355 - Nuff Said..... 160mph on Thruxton with that noise behind, almost creamed my pants :D

Elise - nothing special!!!!!!!!! Will blitz an Evo round tight complexes and general twisties, though not much grunt over 100mph!!
