Put this in a new thread to be a bit more visible. (mods if you want me to move it to the other one I'll do it)
HL have just called me and Fast Car are interested in turning up to the RR day. Hey at least its better than Max Power (SteveC ;))
But we do need a couple more peeps to make it worth thier while. We currently have 10 runners, with a possible 11th. They would like to get 20 runners min.
Which is good for everyone cos it would bring the price down to £17.60 which is you would be hard pressed to beat for a power run!!!

Yep, just a bit. The guy reckons it takes 30 mins to do a car! I think thats a bit high myself. Gary SCA was doing them a lot quicker.
But the mag wants 21, so 21 it is :)

not sure what time the finish is, but if anyone needs to leave early they can go on the road first.
I would imagine that if we do get the full 20 runners then we will only get 1 run each.

If they don't use full throttle you won't get full power so your figures will be down:( but if your clutch is slipping you won't transmit all the engine power to the wheels anyway

My s13 is standard, what are you looking to benchmark, the accuracy of the rollers? I'm coming to find out if the car is doing what Nissan say it should, I suppose if the power figures match Nissan's quoted figures then the car and the rollers are obviously both ok or both wrong. If they don't match then either the car or the rollers are out...

Just so they get some std power to compare with the modded boys. Gives a good range to report on :)

Hey Rich are you going to compile some kind of table of runners
that will include the mods that have been done?
Saw similar at John Nobles when scoobs where on the rollers, then when a car had run, somebody could add to the chart
(stuck to a wall) power/torque etc
Just a thought :)

if Phatty gets that turbo fitted or Skidz comes then no but if not:D :D :D :D maybe still playing at the mo reckon 280-290 on the day hopefully dont know was 267 last time at 14 psi will have hopefully 3" front pipe fitted by then and the boost controller is now setup properly so running bout 17 psi with no probs!!!!!
Skidz is coming i think just trying to convince him currently hes will have the most i reckon at least 320-330bhp, as all the bits he got alreay plus tubular manifold and 550's going on now and mapped at SCA before the RR Day:D
oh i forgot markbluesx if he gets all his bits fitted in time hopefully not;) :D

Well. we're getting a bit full now to take on more non 200's, but he is welcome to come along and we might be able to fit him in if he can make it 2wd.
Must really loose a lot through the transmission in 2wd mode!!!
Infact if anyone wants to come along on the off chance that they might get a run, feel free. Although there is no guarantee of a place.

i only did one run as the gaket was making lots of noise and had me worried that it might die on me, so i took it easy :)
i got 16. something (lost the timing card and my RR printout at the minute :rolleyes: :mad: ) and 88mph for the 1/4 and 130 terminal - not bad considering i was changing gear at 5.5k cos i was too worried to push it (waht a girl eh?)

2 bolts on the heat shield on the turbo have rounded themselves off (i didnt do it :rolleyes: ) if i break the heads off them can i run without the shield attached ? wrong section for a question of this type i know but i cant be bothered to start a new thread :p
fingers corossed ill get it all finished before saturday, at the mometn its being very hard work due to un helpful bolts that wont undo :(

just been looking at the gasket i believe it to be (the one on the exhaust side) and a nut has gone missing off one of the studs from the turbo and one of the long bolts into the turbo was loose. could this have been the cause and not a dead gasket? is it worth getting it all tightened up and seeing what it sound like or am i dreaming that this will cure it ?

well my mate ryan is the hero of the day so far, he managed to get all of the locked up nuts on the heat shields off without breaking anything :)
just taking a break at the moment till my dad gets home to cast his expert eye over it all before i get stuck into taking the exhaust and little exhaust-to-turbo pipe bit off as well (cos then my car will be stuck whereas at the moment i can still start it up and drive it) im glad ive got tomorrow off as well cos it looks like im gonna need it :rolleyes: this is turning into a bit of an epic

Just to let you all know, mum went into hospital today, hopefully things are okay, keeping her in for obs.
But obviously may not make Saturday, but will let you (Rich) know tomorrow.

They are keeping her in over nigh, but does not seemt o be too serious, so hopefully will be able to come along.
However when driving over to hospital, I didnt bother taking radio, and when on motorway and gettong over wexahust blowing, my big ends have got seriously worse, that i can now notice em rattling like a goodun
I may of course be up barking up one of tehm wrong trees, but being as there are plenty of people in the know coming sat, if its okay with you Rich, can i get an opion on the condition of the bottom end, before decicing whether to run on rollers ?
I know this is fooking you about mate, i feel really shit about it, but i dont wanna kill my engine just yet :(

Ok so one day left, plenty of people out there furiously trying to get there motas sorted for the big day (wow this has turned out to be THE event of the year for the midlands crew :D )
So firstly Jacko, hope your mum will be ok ;) and fingers crossed for your car mate, too :)

Nah its not messing me around at all. I wouldn'twant you to put it on the rollers if it might kill your engine. I'm sure there will be enough experience there on the day to give a good opinion on whether they are too far gone or not. And we have plenty of back ups if you cant run

well its not good news im afraid :(
after being crowned "worst mechanic - ever!" yesterday, i spent some time this morning in a deep trance-like state while i washed an waxed my baby before the work commenced once more. after removing the exhaust bolts and all but one of the turbo bolts i got stuck cos i couldnt undo some bolts of a sort of suppost type thing for the turbo elbow. Martbluesx came to the rescue and got them undone and also managed to get the old knackered gasket out on the exhaust side of the turbo. one quick trip to cov Auto Jap Spares for new self locking bolts in marts probably 300bhp monster creation :eek: (its too nice :cool: ) later and we started to put it all back together. only finished at about 7pm, gave her a run and then - disaster strikes ! the other gasket is blowing as well :eek: :( :mad: :(
looks like next weekend i know what ill be doing, altho at least it is now running better due to it being about 50% repaired now and all the bolts will come undone a lot easier next time round.
so tomorrow im gonna fecking run her on the rollers anyway and see how it goes :)

I saw a guy in a S13 yesterday just driving around we stopped for a hchat and he said he want's to come down if there's any space (he also has a mate with a S14)
Can't wait!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Yeah bring em along. The more the merrier.
Yep the convoy will leave maccy d's at 8am. We have to be there a bit before 9am to get things like running order etc... sorted.
The guy from Fast Car called and it will be 1 guy in running then taken outside for the photos and a chat with the mag while the next car is strapped down.
What that does mean is that all the 200's will be going first, then the RWD non 200's and finally the FWD. We've got to do it like that cos it takes the guys time to change the straps around for FWD cars.
