Hello Jez,

I Have got a problem with my stage 3 setup for my S13. My car was running stage 2 and it was running absolutely fine.

I installed all the nescessery parts for stage 3 all at one. I first had some problems with putting the wires back at the place they should be, but I solved that. Than came the first startup time. The engine started, but there was no ildle at all. I had to keep the engine alive with the throttle, but the engine didnīt really respond to the throttle. I just kept on doing this for like 4-5 minutes and after the engine got a little bit warmer the engine started to idle a bit better.

I decided to take it out for a testdrive. The enigine was still overfueling a little, but not as bad as it did when I started the car to try to get it to idle. After like 2 miles the car was running a lot better then it did as when I started driving, as a matter of fact, it was running perfectly. The engine was idle-ing accectly 850 rpm and when I made more revs it was picking up fine.. even above 5000 rpm, everything was fine. boy does stage 3 goes fast by the way..

I drove back home and I stopped the car. I didn't do anything to it that day (last saturday) The next day I was curious if it would run as good as it did as yesterday when the engine was at perfect temperature, but I was accectly as the day before: very lumpy idle, not a lot of reaction on the throttle, I started driving right away, and soon everything was back to normal..

I had to get now MOT (in Holland it's called APK) and because of the emisson gas test I put back my standard chip, AFM and injectors. I started my car and it was running fine for cold.. actually it was running just great. just like it was running on stage 2..

My question to you is: have you had a similar case like this with a stage 3 S13? I really don't know where to look for a error as it seems to my my car (engine and sensors etc) are just fine..

I hope you can help me!

Regards Clint Schmidt from the Netherlands
