View Full Version : Which event is the best one to go to?

Annalie has decided that we're going to take the car and travel down to an event this year. It would be good to meet a few of you and do a bit of the social thing. But being based in Shetland, it's going to have to be just the one event, so which one do we go for?:confused:

TBH as long as there is beer and food I'm happy!:thumbs:

I just had a look at the SXOC weekender thread and it looks like just the ticket, I've seen JAE in a few magazines and things but what's it actually like to attend? Is it getting too commercial and full of chavs these days or is it just a good laugh?

Incedentally, do you have some kind of award named after you? It must be a great honour.

The weekender is probably the best bet - it will be much like JAE with drinking and ........ more drinking, but the cars will actually be moving, rather than static as they are at JAE.
On the other hand, its nice to wander round JAE checking out some of the other OC's cars. Both will be a bloody good laugh, but if I had to do one myself it would prolly be the weekender :)

I believe there is a Kieran_E1 award (if there isnt there should be) for incredible ........sorry, I cant bring myself to say it. Suffice to say his missus always has a big grin :D

There is also a John Bennett award for gross stupidity - you can search for the origin of that one :D

There is also a Dr Bob award. :nod:

It's hard to choose between those two events. The last few JAE's have been some of the best weekends that I can remember, or can't fully remember as the case may be.

I'd say do the Prescot Hill Climb, and you should have such a good weekend you may change your mind about JAE and attend two. :)
