An interesting trend in granny transportation

I have no photgraphic evidence as yet, but I can (hand on heart and other vitals) swear that all the granny chariots near me have wheelie bars.

Wheelie bars provide no performance gain in a drift. They do however provide ample traction for the tread when you lay down some frontal G' force justice.
