Hmmmm

Seems my Sump Spiders have perished.

Are there any performance oil pan arachnids available?

For those who don't know:

In the sump there are loads of little spiders whose sole purpose in life is to carry the oil from the sump up to the head.

Once the oil is in the head, it falls back down into the sump again.

There are several passages in the engine that allow this. 1) Oilway up. 2) Oil return. 3) Spider return.

The oil sticks to the spiders because of their hairy legs. Once the spiders reach the head, gravity takes over and the oil falls off the spider and returns to the sump, via all the whirly bits.

You can tell if your spiders are working by removing the oil filler cap with the engine running.

If little spots of oil fly out, then the spiders are healthy. The oil being flung out is caused by the little blighters legs. They come rattling up the oilway so fast that some oil is flung off.

A number of oil companies make lubricants that assist the spiders in their task.

1) Magnatec - super sticky stuff, with a spider adhesive. Allowing the spider to carry more oil

2) Fully synth - lighter, allowing the spider to move quicker

3) Slick 50 - Amphetamines for arachnids. They move at double speed, talk incescantly, and lose half their body weight.

Be aware however, that Sump Spiders are not compatible with Asbestos Hamsters.

If the Spider comes into contact with a cold Asbestos Hamster, then it clings to the rodents fur and limits his ability to control turbo speed

If the Spider comes into contact with a hot Asbestos Hamster, then the spider combusts instantly. The issue here is that the Spiders contain dangerous levels of Spider Juice. When Spider Juice burns it creates a toxic smoke with gets in the Hamsters eyes. A runny eyed hamster can't even see the turbine wheel, let alone control it.

I beleive that there is a BEE UPGRADE available. However the bees wings are not as good at resisting heat as spiders legs, and therefore need a aftermarket hive installing (more commonly known as oil cooler). This gives the bees somewhere to go and cool their wings before flying back into the hot sump.

On Starions, you also require a weasel-ferret nest. Weasel-ferrets eat spiders and cause them to run faster to escape.
Without a weasel-ferret nest, the spiders would amble about the lazy little goits.

The Weasel-ferrets themselves are optional as it is the possibility of their existance than scares the spiders. Adding a weasel-ferret is equal to a further 5bhp
