Wasn't sure where to put this but
would just like to say a big thank you to apex and especially Kev for giving me a guided tour of the Apex site a week ago it was the best wrong turn i think i've ever taken :D:wack:
Sorry if we delayed your team in any way at all Bren but it was much appreciated it just went to prove the great customer service that Apex strives to achieve permanently so thanks again!!
Cheers
Richard
(p.s. Bren ill fax a copy of my timesheet through for helping unload that lorry ;))
As an additional note i would also like to state that while there Kev disproved a very big myth in the 200 owning scene to me! He handed me a XS-Power exhaust manifold to look at and then gave me a APEX own brand manifold to look at. I noticed the following differences
1. Apex weighs a lot more (approx 3-4 Kgs) even though the XSP used more pipe
2. the welds in the Apex were much better, less blobby, and looked more substantial.
3. the overall finish of the product i.e. welds ground back polishing etc was of a much higher spec on the Apex model for example there was spatter in the XSP untouched by grinder whereas all the channels in the apex were clean and smooth.
4. The flange of the apex, although approx the same as the XSP was a lot better finished and not uneven.
5. And finally the pipes on the XSP were not welded together straight i.e. they were stepped.
The above statement is not to slag of the XSP and say that it does not work because it does, it is to purely say that i felt the Apex ones were definitly of a higher quality than the XSP ones.
Thanks again Apex
