I wish I had started this much sooner, since I am about half way through with this car, but better late than never.

I originally bought this G-reg 1989 s13 with the intention of not modifying it and keeping it standard, because it was THE most immaculate, pre-facelift, low mileage, rust free example I had ever seen. I puchased this beauty back in August 2006.

Here are some pics to prove this. Originally purchased for just £1400. The only thing that it was "lacking" was a good old fashioned manual gearbox, but that didn't bother me one bit when you just look at how freaking MINT this car is.:)

This was a genuine 29K 1 lady owner example that had been cryogenically preserved in a garage all these years. Now in my hands, oh dear.:D I always wondered, could this have been the best example of its kind.

However, from that day untill now, the modifying bug caught me and it turned out to become a bit of an obsession. I could not just bear to watch everyone else doing it so I thought what the heck.:)

The car has gone through some stages now in my ownership and many thanks to DAL who has helped me along the way.

Here is a brief speclist and pics of how the car stands today:

K&N cone air filter with DIY cold air feed,
Mongoose S/S exaust system with twin exit,
Warlbro Fuel Pump,
Adjustable actuator set 15psi,
ND Stage 1 chipped ECU
Greddy boost gauge custom mounted under stereo with LED lights:),
Colder plugs NGK BCPR7ES,
FMIC with aluminium pipe kit,
Acolyte half size battery,
XS power front and rear strut bars,
VLSD to replace old open diff,
KYB AGX shocks front and rear,
Apex Lowering Springs all around,
DB Power 315mm plain discs in front,
Z32 alloy front calipers with Large Yellowstuff pads,
Braided brake lines in front,
BK Racing 17" wheels with Falken 215/45/17 tyres...
Despoilered and resprayed bootlid...
Auto to Manual conversion:
with B&M short shifter, LUK clutch and a JUN light weight flywheel.:)

Thats about it for now. Here are some pics.

Oni - you have had a couple of very good condition S13's, and are very lucky for it, good luck with the project and drifting

Seen this car up close and it is indeed clean as a whistle.

It's come on an aweful lot in the last year.

Thanks for the replies guys.:)

A few weeks back into January, I was driving home from my mates in Dover when I lost all clutch pressure as the bite point was nearly to the floor.:(

Then I discovered that there was no fluid in the master cylinder and knew I had a leak along the lines somewhere. Later I discovered it to be the Slave Cylinder leaking. Thanks Dal for the temporary cable tie fix.:wack: Note: this was not an original part of this car as it came.:D

No worries. The other day I received this off good old Ebay:

http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n134/Oni1One/SlaveCylinder.jpg

Should do the job well. At least I wont need to keep topping it up after this.:)

Thank yaa. :)

Yeah, there is a lot of expectation from the car this year. It only depends on how deep my pockets will go to, but will get there eventually anyway for sure.

OK. Time for an update. I got the ARBs onto the car today with Dal's help. Behold, her glorious new bars!! :D

Front ARB from underneath car
http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n134/Oni1One/DSCF0023.jpg

After a brief test drive, I noticed the difference around tight rounabouts and exits. The car tends not to roll at all and loses grip from the back before any rolling.

What are the copper washers for? OIl and water hoses i guess? Just wondered as there are only 5

looks good.

I suffered lots of overheating problems with mine at stage 3 without the fan shroud and a std rad. If you can get one then do it as it is a common problem once you start winding them up a lot.

Thanks. I'm running about 1bar boost at the moment with ND Stage 1 chip and standard manifold and downpipe. When I go stage 3 I can turn it up a bit more. It seems to be very reliable right now though.:)

thats a mint tailgate job there, well done that man,

wish mine was anywhere near that good :(

i never realised the DB power arbs were that chunky, especially at the back, i went for the apex ones as they are slightly smaller so better for bumpy roads and they have made a massive difference, i bet yours have made an amazing difference to turn in.

well done on getting such a mint example too,

You may find that you are overfuelling at the min with that chip.

Best you get a jez stage 3 chip.. or see if someone wants to swap. Then its only 444's and Z32, that can be picked up for less than £160.

You may aswell get an xspower manifold and aftermarket downpipe too.

That will fly when its done... good job

Thanks for the advise there Tim. I'm a bit tite at the moment and the only thing I can affort to do to the car is to keep and maintain it in mint condition.

Yeah a nice shiney manifold, downpipe and possibly a 3" exaust system with a 5" tailpipe would be nice.:) Also, an electronic boost controller of some kind for Stage 3.

But at the moment I love the car as it is.:smitten:

Yeah the ARBs are chunky especially compared to the knackered standard ones. The car handles well now with the KYB AGX shocks and the ARBs make cornering much more smooth and effortless.

After 6 more months of happy motoring the clutch decided to start slipping after a few brisk launches from stand still etc. :D
