Hi guys - just to let you know i've booked a track day for the Saturday the 24th of May.
Just finalising the details with them at the mo so will come back to you with prices etc shortly - just thought i'd give you a chance to put it in your diary.

whats the track like there?
Im going there to watch the BDC when ever that is!
The track is quite small (.9miles) but can be quite challenging as its a bit narrow in places, some off camber corners (gluepot!) and a mad chicane type thing (bustop). Its damn good fun :D
what vehicle will you be using Phill ??
I'm aiming to use the S13 but if not then i'll probably have an S2000 to use.
Whats the chicane called on the far side, after devils elbow (which is what i crashed on!) i used to love seeing how late i could leave braking till, i got an awesome pic somewhere of an e30 braking at the 1st sign, and me in frame braking at the very last sign before the chicane lol

Deposit is paid mate so it will defo go ahead. We'll get the numbers it just people are a bit slow on the uptake when it's so far away!

There isn't usually a tyre changing service on these days at Llandow. Matt and I should be taking the red MR2 on, so see you there :)

Llandow isnt that hard on tyres mate, but I would take a spare set to drive home on if you are there all day :)

It's always left till the last minute for some reason lol we panic that we wont have enough cars but on the day end up having loads !
It is going ahead no matter if we fill the spaces or not as we have already paid for it :thumbs:

Thats one thing i was not willing to let run out :no:
Just take your V5 to the post office with your MOT cert and Ins cert and it wil be taxed there and then - no forms to fill in or anything :thumbs:

As for paying on the day - you can if there is space but that's the if. I can't hold you a space without a deposit cos the club can't afford to loose out which i'm sure you can understand.

Well the briefing is at 9.30 and the gates open at 9 so if everyone who's running can aim to be there for 9. If your just coming to watch then not alot will happen before half 10 by the time everything is sorted.

Is skidding allowed? I know we did it in the 2nd round BDC there and wouldn't mind some sneaky practice before the last round!
I am already coming to Wales Sunday so i might be able to get down a day early! :)
Yeah it's o.k as long as it's 'controlled' - i.e if your spinning off every lap onto the grass and dragging crud onto the track they'll pull you up about it but on both trackday's we've had some action from the RWD Crew and it's been cool.
good to see the slots are nearly full mate :)

Another good event despite it looking like it was all going to pot. I can imagine the SW-CC staff were sweating a bit on Monday, and I'm glad the weather turned out nicely. I burnt my face again. :D

I noticed after the drifting a few weeks ago that I had a couple of minor spots on the photo's, so before the track action kicked off, I cleaned my lenses and cleaned the CCD, only I made a right f*cking potch of it and didn't realise until I got home. I've got some 600 photo's to sort through and of the ones that will be suitable for use (about half I hope), I have to remove every single mark individually and manually.
