Why don't they all feck off!!  Since when has it been 'ok' to use the left lane (of 3 for fcuks sake!!) to turn right and cut me up when I'm trying to turn off.  W@nkers!

And when I do get on the 70mph dual carriage way, they insist on doing 45mph!!!!  Leaving a queue of traffic to overtake   And they probably pay a tenth what my insurance costs.

The worst Sunday drivers are those that wear hats or caps.
They really know how to thrash the accelerator - NOT. They just seem to weave out when you try to overtake and insist on 30mph everywhere . .Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh h:mad:

The ones that really annoy me, are the ones I used to encounter when I lived in Yorkshire - 40mph everywhere, so you're stuck behind them on a nice stretch of twisty road at 40mph..

Then they proceed to do 40mph through a 30mph limit village! Grrr  That *really* wound me up..

Closely followed by people who join motorways at 40mph... Which is just downright dangerous.. And also illegal, I believe, to be doing <45mph on a motorway?...

Unless it's the M25, which joining at this speed is a delight. Normally I creep into the already congested car park

Went for a spin on some of my favorite Shropshire roads this aft and came across loads of other Sunday drivers in their Caterhams, TVRs, MX5s, RX7s etc etc all enjoying the sunshine and travelling at appropraite speeds for the conditions (ie, bloody fast). Fanstatic time. :D :D :D :D :D :D

The last 4 miles before home though, got stuck behind a coffin dodger in a Granada travelling at 30 on the country roads with about 600 meters of traffic behind him

Sunday drivers ... all over the effing place where I live. Just got the geometry sorted out on my S13, try and go for a burn and you get some old biddy in the sort of cars that old biddies drive getting in my way

Manged to overtake and have some fun on those twisty Maldon bends :D

Valid subject this.

Read my "Ripper loses the plot with 840Ci" in the General section.

45mph on a DC holding everybody up.

Well, until things got a bit out of hand.......

Every time I go up the A518 from Stafford to Utoxeter I get stuck behind some old git doing 40 (its national all the way) and as I currently drive a 1.3 Astra I don't really have many chances to pass them (it tends to take a while) :( Got stuck behind a sunday driver once and nearly missed a hockey match i was playing in.

Why is it there's only ever traffic coming the other way on the straight bits that are long enough to overtake on, and never the twisty bits where you can't see anything round the corner and so can't overtake anyway?

A few days ago I was on this stretch of road when a similar thing happened to me as happened in Rippers BMW post.

Driving towards Uttoxeter I got stuck behind a melon in a BMW 330 who dorve like an old grandad until the straights, when he floored it to stop me getting past. Anyway I anticipated that he was a tw@t (driving a BMW is a good givaway) and sandbagged him, letting him think he had the better of me. Went up the steep hill after the long straight and then there's a shortish straight just before some open sweeping bends. He floors it, but this time I do likewise and piss past him, finger held high and off I go into the distance.

As we approach Cowshit corner (if you know it) I slow down to avoid sliding off the road and BMW man catches up. He obviously didn't know the road well cos he didn't slow down for the corner and ended up fishtailing and then spinning, eventually ending up on the wrong side of the road facing the wrong way. I stopped and waited for him to get level with me. Floored it, stuck my arm out the window to give him a time signal and then pisses off.

What a twat :D

Wish someone had told the highway people about that. M27 has traffic lights on the sliproad. Junction 3 westbound and it goes up hill. Picture the scene, fully laden lorry stops at lights, they go green and the lorry pulls away. He joins the traffic, which is travelling at 60-70mph, at an astounding 15mph. Safe? methinks not. Bizarre thing is, the slip road is quite long and on a downard slope, so if the lights weren't there he could probably join at 50-60mph.

I've never understood the reason for traffic lights on a motorway sliproad - they have them at the junctions around B'ham for the M6.
