Seems like a strange request I know but does anyone know if it's possible to place a shortcut on the desktop of Windows 98SE to allow you to shutdown the PC?
The reason I ask is that I recently installed a game(with the latest patches that switches to a stange resolution (like 640 x 400) when I quit the game. When I try to change the resolution back to 1024 x 769 the PC hangs. At the strange resolution the task bar is missing so I cannot use the Start>Shutdown option and I cannot bring it up by using the Windows keyboard key. ressing Control+Alt+Delete doesnt bring up the Close Program window. However I can still use the mouse to navigate the visible portion of the desktop and click on icons-hence my initial question if you catch my drift!
P.s. have the latest video drivers/direct x installed and cannot find any mention of this bizar problem on the net. The game is Battlezone 2 BTW -I know its an old game but I had great fun playing Battlezone 1 years ago!
