Does anyone know who the singer is and what she is singing in the new advert for Impulse Siren?
It's the one with the line "Where have all the young men gone" that comes up on scree.?

Cheers

that's the badger! Is it Moby then or not?
I was sorta wondering if it was an old blues mamma like Bessie Smith?

Cheers All.

Have found it - it is a traditional song called "Another Man Done Gone". Not sure how it is sung by yet, could be Odetta potentially, but I'm not sure...
Can be found on this album (sung by Odetta)

OK
This is REALLY starting to get on my double Ds

So I've got a fairly credible like to this Odetta bird. I'm also coming up with Esther Ofraim, Woody Gutherie and Harry Bellabloodyfonte.
Lyrics are, apparently, copyright of some guy in the 1940s. Apparently. It appears to be a "traditional" Alabama chain gang song.
So why is someone else claiming copyright in the 1990s?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I feel ill. I need another lie down :(
