View Full Version : Help me find some 17" wheels for my S13

Ok, I've just got a 180SX, and it's on standard alloys. Worse, the tyres have no grip at all. So I will need some new tyres, and I'm thinking Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics (because they won the EVO test). But the smallest they come in is 17", so I need some new wheels, and if I'm doing that, I want some light ones.

I've had a look on your website, but it's quite hard to search by particular fitments, so I keep finding something that looks good and then it's not available in an S13 fitment (4x114.3, right?).

So, suggestions welcome for a black '94 180SX:

Required:
- S13 fitment
- 17"
- fit without any arch work

Desired:
- not too expensive
- light
- enough width+offset to fill the arches (ie roughly flush with the flanks of the car)

If you can suggest a few that meet the above criteria, I'd be glad to know.

My car's not lowered yet, but it will be (a bit) if that makes any difference.

Price with/without tyres (if you can do them) would be good.

Final qu - if I fit wheels with a non-standard offset, or spacers, then the centre of the contact patch will end up further outboard. How does this affect the handling ? (Especially the steering at the front)

Thanks for the help :)

I ran the "Boost Drift" wheels last year and they prove excellent. very light too.

7.5" at the front and 8" at the back. back's sit flush with the arch , at the front i run a 25mm spacer to give me more lock and the car handles well and the wheels sit great

Thanks for the suggestion - do you have any pics of your car with them ?
I can't see 'Boost Drift' wheels on Rare Rims' site - maybe discontinued ?

They are under the normal boost wheels yes

My preference would be the torque wheel, in 17x8" front, and 17x9" torque 'drift' rear..

Awesome wheel

These are available in et35 which is a similar offset to stock, meaning the drive will still be very good, but will fill the arches with the extra width...

If you email me a pic, I have a way of virtually fitting the wheels to the car, so you can see what it looks like in advance

sales@Rarerims.co.uk is my email addy!
