Off the back of the ice karting thread
If enough people are interested and are prepared for a trip across to the north part of the M25 and to have a day off we could have a go at this
http://www.club100.co.uk/midweek.htm
it is expensive (£95 an hour) but it is worth it. nothing quite matches a 2 stroke
If we had 4 to 9 people interested we could do an hours testing each (probably sharing 4/5 karts between us over a 2 hour session)
If we had 10 or over we can have a race
10min Open Practice
5min Qualifying Session
X3 15min Races
Who would be interested? and I would probably need some help organizing this as I haven't got much spare time at the moment
I am very interested!
I have few other friends that are not from this car club but are big car enthusiast that im sure would be more than interested also.
More than willing to offer help with organising this also.

How would you like me to go about collecting that boost pipe Rich?
Interested  Rich, keep me posted on this if things happen as I doubt I will remember to keep an eye on the thread

Live in Yate and work in Cromhall out towards Wotton :)
I'm also after some karting but only over 10 people, and date is important :sxoc:

I thinking about setting a date on the 14th of march. What I'll probably do is contact club 100 and set it up as a test session at first then if we get enough people change it to a race. On the money, everyone will pay Club 100 for the karting and we'll sort out the transport separately.
14 is friday.... bad
I'm flying back to Poland....
Fridays are bad in general for me as i do day release at college every friday.
i'd love to but thats crazy money for karting, no matter what engine is in it :P (the one in birmingham now have biogas karts which are apparently crazy quick).
if it was for an all day session for that money i'd be very much interested, but just couldnt justify that (my rally day was almost that sort of money).

The Biogas ones aren’t any quicker than the normal indoor ones and they weigh more that an oil tanker (but then again most indoor places think their karts will do 60MPH  )
Can people put down what days of the week they would be free to do this and hopefully there will be a consensus

and yes these are the karts (the old club 100 fleet we'll be in the new more powerful but slightly heavier ones) and they are at the track we'll be using
Sorry Rob, chances are I won't be able to make it.
But to everyone reading this..... do it! If you enjoy driving your 200 you will love this - do not confuse these karts with the usual corporate arrive and drive shite. An experience definately worth trying (unless its raining!)
ANd what's this doing in the West COuntry section - Rye is East :smash:
See i you can get a mod to move it to motorsport section - you might catch some more people :)

Blimey that looks fast:cool::cool:
I'm very interested but fridays are not good for me as mentioned above, with enough notice i should be able to do any other day though.
As this is quite a high cost event i would suggest going for a late date to give people chance to budget for it - then again you run the risk of it clashing with summer holiday saving funds.

I very much doubt they could do 50mph (same karts as at combe) (lawn mowers) they are probably in the region of about 35-40mph. Club 100 kart probably does about 60-65mph at Rye (Average speed about 40mph) and thats before we get talking about acceleration
