THE RING - scary as fek

Jeesus!!!! you've got to go see this film at the flicks its the most stressful cinematic experience ever.

I usually come out from seeing a film thinking, "that were complete shite" or similar, but this is both beatifully made and VERY scary, go see it NOW.

Ok - I've seen trailers for this and it's about a video which if you watch it you die right? I don't understand why anyone would watch it. There's a scene in the trailer where a mother comes into the room and her son is watching it, she quickly covers his eyes which shows she knows it's dangerous so why the hell did she have it in the house?

This is what I hate about horror films - Suzi's just gone down into the basement, there''s a load of screaming and terrible noises but Suzi's friend still goes down there to find out what happened despite the fact that the lights dont work:rolleyes:

If you can explain why the hell anyone would have this video, much less watch it then I might watch The Ring:)

they showed ring1 and 2 on C4 about six months ago.Really creepy rather than outright scary.Cant bring myself to go and see the remake in case it doesnt do it justice

havent seen the hollywood version, but the jap version is excellent!! there`s Ring, Ring 2 and Ring 0 gives you all the background story of how it all started and is really good if you have seen the other two;) :)
as for why people would watch the video tape,ask yourself this, there are rumors going around that if you watch this video you will die within 7 days, are you really going to believe this??arn`t you going to be curious whats on the tape?? and the kid is just watching tv when his mum comes in not the video, i`m not going to say any more coz i don`t want to spoil it for anyone.;)

I'm the biggest film cynic going, I think most stuff is complete crap, but this really impressed me.

I watched the new one last night. It was better than i expected , had a really good story so i was rivetted the whole way through. I wouldn't say it was particularly scarey... more just creepy as someone already mentioned. Definitely worth a watch anyway.

I don't get time to watch the films I want to, let alone the ones I think are going to be rubbish and like I say, the story sounds just too unbelievable and I'm sure I'd spend the whole film shouting at the screen "DON'T FECKING WATCH IT STUPID - YOU'LL DIE";)
