NEW Opie Oils website & Members account instructions!

Hi everyone,

We’ve FINALLY launched the new Opie Oils website! There has been an incredible response with over 2000 visits on our first day (before we even announced it!).

The best feature is the NEW ‘Find the Right Car / Bike Product’ tool which finds the right engine oil, gear oil, spark plug, brake kit and other parts to match your standard car or bike.

Other interesting sections are, a dedicated motorbike area, Sponsored Cars and the Street Gallery where our customers can showcase their vehicles when branded with an Opie Oils sticker pack. (available FREE with any purchase online).

IMPORTANT

Have just registered :)

Just to give you some feedback so far, with regards the registration form:

* The button which 'copies' details from billing address to postal address would be better as a tick box, so that it doesnt refresh the page, thus losing the 2 passwords entered.

* The postcode format should be allowed to accept ******* not just **** ***.

Other than that, looking good

You might want to add some flags to the database so that when I look for oil suggestions for a car that only ever had a petrol engine, it doesn't offer diesel engine oils :)

We have already considered this but all the Diesel oils that we offer also carry the equivalent petrol specifications so they are fine to use in petrol engines. I'm afraid it is just a marketing exercise from the major oil companies generally.

Simon, if i pop in to the premises in Redruth, will there be Silkolene Pro S oil (5L) in stock? The last time i went in (about 10 months ago) i was told i couldnt get fully-synth off the shelf and was given a number to ring. Also, will i get the member discount still? :)

If its in stock, i'll pop in and get some either before or after xmas...
