View Full Version : FAO gamblers
I've been advised that I should go with my boss and some of his mates to a casino tonight.
My problem is I have absolutely feck all clue about what to do when I'm there. I don't know any rules for any games... except the odd mocked up version of (strip)poker :D I'm also a bit weary of people who have no problems in using the insult "Cad" and call a good thing "Spiffing" or Jolly"
I need to know what the score it inside a casino, where do you go first? what do you do when you arrive? is it really as posh as on James Bond? or it that just how my boss and his mates make it out to be?
help pleeeease :)

Firstly, bury your wallet. Then, don't go. They are bottomless money pits. If you do go, and you do win, which you probably will at the start (it's how they work), then don't put all your winnings back in. Stop when you're "up". If you do put it all back in, don't put anymore in. Appreciate the fact you've had a good night and call it a day. If you do put more in, then have fun while you're doing it and don't feel guilty about it afterwards. If you do feel guilty, then tough, you gambled, you lost - don't say i didn't tell you so.
Oh, and finally, have fun, casinos are great!! :D ;) :D
Take only the amount of money you can lose without it being any issue to you.. Then set the amount of winnings when you are going to stop playing. Then if you get to that amount, quit playing or play only the money above the figure. If you lose all then bad luck..or the usual luck to be exact.
Play with reasonably small bets. Those slot? machines (donīt know what they are called in english) are great fun but usually just take all your money little by little. When betting to for example blackjack you can actually win some money.
Or then do as thejames says and just donīt go..
