hi jez, firstly good to meet you yesterday. extremely happy with the stage 2 software and all other products. money very well spent :)

just a slight issue through 1st, 2nd, 4th and sometimes 5th at the top end of each gear it seems to splutter then in 4th and 5th seems to hesistate then go and hesistate again like the boost is dropping half a psi or something? weird to explain. would this be knock? if so would ducting the WMIC help at all until my fmic is fitted? its holding 10psi should i back the boost off?

also i cant remember where i left my instructions for what to do after i fit my FMIC. would it be possible for you to send me some in the post if i pm you my address when you have replied to this?

i'm also looking at fitting a tubular manifold, will this need mapping to accomodate etc?

thank you very much,
matt.

p.s...horsham developments highly recommended! :D

id say that its spluttering because its mapped for 17psi and your only running 10, so it'll be heavily overfueling, as our cars run MAF's not MAP's it just presumes it should fuel for 17

i maybe wrong.....lol

i maybe wrong.....lol

Correct :D

It should be ok at 10psi, but a bit slow. Try checking the plugs are gapped correctly and clean. I recommend a 0.7mm gap.

You might want to check your CAS splines - I had to move the CAS quite a bit to get 15 deg BTDC.

When you have the FMIC fitting you just need to set the boost at 15 psi peak and check that it's not detting.

Always run on VPower or Tesco 99.

p.s... a bit slow? jesus i thought it was rapid! oh now i really cant wait till i get the fmic :D

If the ignition timing is floating about due to worn splines it might be difficult to start. Apart from that, I'm not really sure whats happening...
