Write come on peeps . Won an auction on ebay last sunday for a new spoiler for my car ( by the way dont use ebay much ) The guy didnt have a paypal acount but had a higt rating (73 with 1 star and all possitive feed back )
So i sent the cheque of monday morning . Pmed the guy monday , wednesday and friday and still no reply . Think i should cancal the cheque and report him to ebay or give it sunday . Checked my bank and the money ant been taken yet.
What u think i should do peeps

i'd wait a bit longer , whenever I get a cheque i let it lie for 7 days ( the actual amount of time taken to clear a cheque ) before sending stuff off!!
thats what i thought but i pm'ed the guy to let me no when the cheque got to him but no relpy to that . is there any way on ebay to c when someone loged in last
If you don't mind me asking buddy how much did you pay out?

Keep emailing, if you dont get a reply cancel the cheque. You can always get another spoiler (not from that guy) but you'll not get your money back if he stings you. Theres no reason for him not to reply for a whole week. People like that shouldnt be on ebay, you need some reassurance the sale is going correctly.

No you're right, absoloutly no reasons for someone not to use a computer in a week :rolleyes:

Give him until tonight then if there has been no contact with the seller bounce the cheque.
Don't mail him back after you have bounced it though and see how long it takes for him to contact you.
BUT make sure you send Ebay an email explaining your actions and why you have taken the actions, this will cover you should he try and pull a fast one.
I always find that it's worth emailing some of his past customers too to see if this is normal behavior !
Going on holiday is no excuse not to contact a buyer, as it should have been mentioned in the description this was the case !
Snowed under at work is also no excuse as if you list an item on ebay you should ensure you have the time to complete the sale
Hospital and pc meltdown are unfortunate and unpredictable so they are ok lol

thats nothing! I sent my cheque off for a carbon wing and had to wait over a month for it,the women!!!! told me that she went on hols then 'just forgot'.

i THINK YOU GET A WEEK BEFORE YOU NEED TO DO ANYTHING EITHER END,I'D WAIT TILL THEN (sorry bout the caps :rolleyes:) :thumbs:
total lack of reply all week is a little dodgy, on his feedback were the points for selling or buying? Also does he have anything else for sale at the moment? Maybe one of us coudl contact him about other items, if he replies to us but not you I'd cancel the cheque!

You might want to leave him neutral feedback though due to the problem with contacting him, and if the spoiler takes ages to turn up (longer than specified in his listing) give negative feedback.
It might spur him on in future sales then!
Glad it's sorted :D Now I hope it's a nice spoiler :D
