We have been VEMS dealers for a little while now but only just got round to announcing it and getting the products on the website (http://82.110.105.84/apexperformance.co.uk/catalog/default.php?manufacturers_id=108)

Most of you know my S13 was one of the first 200SX's to have VEMS, and the first to be fully fitted and mapped :D

Its a great bit of kit and well specced if you get everything.

ECU's for the 200SX start at £470

The system is MAP/MAT based and does not use a air flow meter.

The units will be supplied tested and configured with a start-up map for the S13 with CA18DET and a CD containing the tuning software and documentation for the system, and we are working on the same for the S14's in the near future.

We include the knock input and 1 channel EGT input.
We Include a Nissan CAS Adapter disk.
We include a air inlet temp sensor.

You may also wish to purchase the:
VEMS-S13 loom adapter for £111.99 rather than hard wire the ECU
Boost control solenoid for £31.99 to give a very comprehensive boost control solution
EGT sender for £61.99 to aid mapping
Wideband O2 sensor for £63.99 to aid mapping
The Full spec package is available for slightly less than the sum of the parts - £735

£735 gets the optional built in:

boost controller
EGT gauge
Wideband O2
Plug and Play loom adapter

and all the software extra's

Anti Lag
Launch Control
many more

How hard is it to map them?

its easy ones you got the setting in and idling. same as any other standalone type ecu really

i had a few problem to start with but with a little help we sorted these out. it makes things a lot better now with this base map. i had nothing on mine :( as was one of the 1st in the uk toget it on an 200sx

i got mine running nicly. drove to donny show and back on my own map :) once i got it to idle. i just started doing runs up and down a road local to me data longing. going over the data and then changing a few things in the map. then out again for a few runs etc.... but then i had thrust face problems due to me being crap at building engines. i gave up and sold it all on.... wish i never did now as im now getting one again for my sr

its all ways best to get some one like h-dev or atp to map it for you but then i had a go at it and really enjoyed playing with it myself and will go down that route again i think with my new unit

i think vems is great :Plug: and you get a lot of customer support with it

I just fancy learning it myself as it's the main bit I have to farm out when I build my cars.

Thanks for the info

Its similar to a Power FC D-Jetro I would guess, possibly easier with the built in wideband and EGT gauges, all tied into one logging file.

I suspect only Gary@APT could give a proper answer to this question.

Yeah, Steve (Carter) told me to check out your engine build, as I am half considering a CA for my 2008 drifter  (runs off to wash mouth out)

Thanks :)
