Sorry about the imagestation, sometimse it works sometimes it doesnt, have worked out why yet, but thanks for the edit. :)
We will also be getting a smaller 22kW fan for the SULEV lab dyno too.
Both fans are able to track the roller speed up to 100mph !!!
You don't want to be in the lab when they're running tests!!!
I've had a fantastic new idea for a game. It involves one of those 45kw blowers and a bungy cord..........

That could be interesting. Did you ever see the series "speed" with Jeremy Clarkson, in the wind tunnel :D
Green Meany,
Just noticed in your profile you're a bike test engineer. Where do you work? Triumph?
Is that fan for bikes? It's massive!

Alan,
I work for an autocatalyst company in the technolgy division, developing and applicating cats for bike companys around the world. At the moment the main markets are two stroke engines and small capacity four stroke bikes, most large four stroke don't need cats yet to pass current legislation. So as yet big bikes from the likes of Triumph aren't getting much attention.
We are in the process of building a new test facility for testing at future legislated limits, like californian SULEV limits (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle). These are for Cars though, bikes have a different legisation timetable and limits of their own. So fans are for the new car dynos.
