Track Insurance

HI All

Just wondering if any of you have ever had track day insurance. It's for this Jap Fest trackday and you can get insurance on the website though Competition Car Insurance.

Does anyone know what sort of money I am looking at for the days cover.

don't take this as fact but i thought track day cover was around the £70-£80 mark for the day, read what it covers though as some cover up to £X amount, or may exclude the engine etc

A couple of months ago I looked at track day insurance for Elvington.
The only place I found after a good couple of hours hunting around was Competition car insurance. I spoke to a few other groups, who themselves just refered me back to Competition.

Competition quoted me a rate based on the value of my car, size of excess and number of mods.
For my motor, I guessed it was worth about £2000. With a £300 excess, they were quoting £65.
Out of interest, a friend considered taking his new S2000, worth £25000. Competition quoted £450 with a £5000 excess.
