Hi all,

Does anyone know of any places that make up custom exhausts around Reading area ?

Both my backboxes have rotted off so I need some new ones made to fit the rest of the system...before the weekend

Thanks
lil ben

There's a place in Basingstoke called Top Gear Exhausts.

Your average Powerflow type place, i went there years ago to have a centre box taken out and a straight bit of pipe welded in.

Done a good job. Loads of tailpipes to choose from.

Do a search for Powerflow on here. They aren't worth bothering with at all

What system is it? I'd be tempted to get a complete new system from a trader on here

It's for an FC and the cheapest exhaust I could find were all about £400 or more. Which I just can't afford at the moment.

I know I'll end up buying a full system in a few months but the car has none at the moment so is a bit loud.

Cheers Stig, someone else on another site has said them :) There was a similar arguement on there about it but how wrong can they go with 2x 40cm of pipe and backbox :wack:

Ended getting it done at Long life (the Surry one after a dead battery problem) and pretty impressed with their service.
They let me change the day 10 minutes after I was supposed to be there, provided me with a loan car and it took slightly less time than they said.
The finish and welding looks spot on (not matter how shiny the exhaust, don't touch it after driving home........).
Sounds lovely, not too loud, quite bassy and not raspy.
Car seems to be performing a bit better too although that could be a placebo effect and I did change all the plugs the day before.
Bad things.........expensive.
