New postcode - help needed !!

Due to moving house the insurer of my S13 has given me a new quote of ~ £700 (previously was ~£350 !!). I haven't moved to a rough area, so was amazed at the change.

Can someone please give me a cheap insurer ?

I'm with Tesco, they dont deal with mods on the web site, but you get a ref. code with the quote and give you the 5% discount from useing the web. Well they did with me:)

i'm 29, 2years NCB, No claims or convictions, VERY bad postcode, with mods.... (declared exhaust, filter, dump valve and alloys)

Just got quoted 682 quid from Liverpool Victoria for Fully comp. :D Seemed like a really good quote. I insured my old 200sx (no mods declared) , in a very good postcode and it came out about the same.

That's the only one i've checked for mods so far (except AF but they'll never see any of my money again)

We can tell you that insurance companies won't cover modified cars on the internet though.

Phoned HIC and he told me he couldn't beat £500 due to a 50% loading on the postcode.:confused: :(

I had a brain wave .........I asked my Classic 300ZX car insurer (Norton Insurance (Tel. 0121 246 5050) what it would cost to insure my 200SX and they said £325.80 !!! for 7,500 miles per year with an insured value of £1000.

I also adjusted the value of my 300ZX from £5500 to £4000 and the policy came dwon from £452.90 to £401.45 !! As I had exceeeded the 5000 miles in the 300, they adjusted the XS from 200 to 450 and the policy has not gone up - but they have extended the miles to 7,500.

So I'm paying £727.25 for a 200Sx and a 300ZX (garaged). I'm 33 with ~5 yrs NCB, no endorsements.

Well happy with these quotes.
