Does anyone else on here have sky+?

We got ours when it first came out (16 months ish) and I have just had to ring sky again, as it is not working. :mad:

We had to have 3 new ones in the first 2 months, then the 4th one last 12 months and now the 5th one last 4 days. :mad: I don't think we are supposed to own one of these. :(

Anyone else had this amount of trouble with them? :confused:

I got Sky+ in erm.. probably Nov last year.. The first box lasted two weeks before it died..

Second box clicks and ticks, so I'm guessing thats the hard disc inside, and it's refused to play back one recording (got to a specific point and just starts clicking from the drive). It's getting gradually worse, so will almost certainly require a new drive sooner or later - I think I'll find myself a nice 160Gb drive and drop that in instead of getting a new box, as it seems the quality of them is.. suspect..

So no, you're not the only one - although mine hasn't been as much trouble as yours!

Mines fine, but I do do a full system reset and software download pretty regular.

Mine's fine also, contemplating a hard disk swap.
Might also take a look-sie at the data it puts on disk ... I'm -sure- there will be a way to render that on a PC with some tinkering..
