lol i think Dunc would win, cos he only needs to take the turbo off, his is a T25.
T28 requires mani off Martin.
Btw have u got a spare mani?
Ive got one if u havent.
Went to halfrauds yesterday and bought......... yip u guessed it, RATCHET SPANNERS :D :D 12mm and 14mm
U wanna come down ere, or u want me to head up to urs on sunday Martin?
I'll be there as usual. Won't be in the Supra 'til the next one tho :)

Don't think he'll have done anything yet he was talking about takein it off the road to do quite a bit of work to engine and new clutch. He sometimes pops in on passing the shop but not heard from him since after he took it off the road.
Martin, you've not had a chance to check for that male/male connector for the oil pipe have you? Don't mean to be a pain in the ass   :)

Aye I'll be there. Been quiet cos I've been a busy boy mainly with work and sorting out stuff to do with importing. I browse the boards tho.
Kev, can you see how keen everyone is on a Knockhill or Crail Track day? Or perhaps we should hire an Airfield ourselves... there's plenty around?

:o No but only because I've not been using the car  I did find a pair of "flood holes" rusted into the bottom of the car when I put it up on jacks the other week! These bad-boys are no doubt the culprits

Kev, sorry didnt notice your post - hope she gets well soon!
I'm planning on being there, don't wait for me tho as I still can't say for definate.
If I'm going would you want a lift dunc? or can you not make it at all? I'll phone you later on to confirm :)
hopefully see you all tonight.
Hope ya lassie is alright kev :)
Thanks for the concern boys.
Good news is i picked her up bout an hour ago:)
She was confirmed as having acute appedicitis(?)
but its calmed down so they have let her home, so i will be going tonight.
I just wish they had sorted it out rather than saying oh well the pain has gone so just go home:mad:
So ill see u boys en-route.
Kenny could u park besdide the bus stop in front of deer park instead of actually going in, it means we can see who is waiting rather than having to scan all the cars in the car park.
Same to Graham and dunc if u boys make it.
Mike i will find out how much definite interest there is in a track day, do u have a date in mind?
Also would u prefer it was 200's only or just any jap cars that can make it?
Cos we could ask the SSR guys if they would be interested, although not marc cos he would trounce us all in the skyline, actually thinking about it, the vr4 and gtir would trounce us anyway:(

Kev, dont care really just as long as we can have fun!! Anyone, anytime, anyplace - just get everyone's ideas
Arse!
Can't make it, gotta go back to work   :(
maybe next time eh?
have a goodun :)
Have you seen Crail's latest newsletter about them becoming an RACMSA approved event? So you can get a club license and go to their trackdays where they will be setting up a 1.4 mile track to race on. Could be fun!
News of it made the Scotsman too.
Other than that, Knockhill would be a brilliant track to book for a track day.
P.S. I'll most likely be attending in an MR2 or a Supra TT so don't make it 200SX's only!
Nice to see ya all again :)
Great to get out for a run! Need to do it again another time, maybe a longer route?
Id like to agree, but me baby is now v sick again.
Tractor like in sound:(
And theres lots of sqeeks coming from it too!!!
Ah well, uprated bushes shocks and springs here we come (end of next month)

Mine too that road knocked hell out of me and my car.

Think I'll be doing the front bushes soon, something strange going on up front with my suspension/steering:eek:
I did the front and rear ARB bushes (and replaced a gubbed rear link arm) on mine 2 weekends ago and that made my suspension spot on after doing the shocks and springs all round before. The ARB bushes I noticed made it feel much tighter. I'm glad I did it all cos I have full confidence in the car on the twisties now, it's very level with no noticeable body roll on turn in and very progressive on the edge of grip through corners.

Good meet, yet again :D
I enjoyed the format, chat, food & drink (diet coke for some of us   ) and a blast along some fun roads.
That biker must have thought, what the f**K
there I was out for a quite blast and five cars racing fly past ;) ;)
using the road to its max
the scooby was enjoying the rally type experience, but I
bottomed out a few times
what I really enjoyed was sitting on John's bumper smelling the
aroma of a car being trashed to an inch of its life :D :D :D
fair play to your car John, if I was not in the right gear or was late
in flooring it, there wasn't much in it :D :D - roll on the dawes
device and 250bhp :D :D :D
magic,
Kenny

lolage! Was the pace sufficient then? I seemed to put a fair bit of distance on Johnny on the corners lol. How is the scooby through the twisties?

thunder, i'm still learning the limits so I've not really pushed
it. But what I've felt so far is high level of grip.
I need to find some spare ground and have some tyre
shreading fun learning the limits.
In fact there is a scooby track event at Knockers tomorrow
that would be idea to learn the limts - but I'm giving it a
miss this month.
are you coming along to the rolling road day?
are you bring the TT?
cheers

RR day would be nice to do in a car with some power mods but the Supe is standard, so I know it'd put out c 320bhp crank from other Supra's that have been benchmarked in standard trim. I'm very wary of what I do with the Supra when it arrives as I don't wanna put people off buying it. I'll just mollycodle it for a while until it sells lol. The plan is to replace my MR2 with a rev.3 turbo version for myself to feed my addiction after the Supe is sold (will also import other cars to sell on), so I can have some fun with that. Ideally I want to end up with a 6sp Supra TT for myself to play with though as they have so much potential.

Yeah 'twas bloomin' fun...... my first proper blat since i've had the car running good.
Brian, you're mental mate :D ! But then if you know the road well you know how hard to push it ;) :p . On the large straight-ish bit (where we reached 130 KMPH ....ahem) I started to gain on you after the ton but you're right, in the twisties you had me dead :) ! Need to sort me suspension now.....
Kenny, you always caught me in the twisties too (4x4 ya cheat :p ) but I think I was pulling away from you after about 90.
Martin, Kev,
fun run home chaps! Those flames comin' out Martin's zorst were lighting up the whole feckin' road    ! I did see Kev pop some pretty good size ones too ;) :D.

Johnny after I missed my turnoff and chased after you I couldnt get past you, I'm sure you were slowly pulling away from me.
On the back road I was scared of running into the back of Kenny so I backed off, which ment I was going into corners I didnt know without seeing anyone to follow, shit myself alot, a few scary moments to say the least, following Kennys Scooby wasnt helping me judge my cornering speed and I was getting a hammering from my low suspension.
Was a good road, I'll enjoy it more when I know it better.
My passenger side pads are down to the metal, hopefully have my 300ZX brakes in a week or so.

Yer it's a good high speed road that one with a selection of nice bends and some good uphill / downhills and adverse cambers thrown into the mix. Cornering is deffo where it's at for me (Hence lavishing money on my '2s suspension straight after getting it) and I know the MR2 and it's limits as well as that road well so it gives me a good buzz everytime :). Like I said there's much longer runs we can do that all start out there near Brucefield, it's good to have some decent unspoiled drivers roads around.
When we were up at 130 leptons on the straight bit I was actually backing off the throttle as I could only see you still close to me in the RVM but I'd imagine you would have better high end acceleration with the turbo, at Crail I munched Kev off the line and got a bit of distance, it wasn't 'til 3rd gear he reeled me in (with a T28 on 14.5 PSI lol).
I need to curb my sideways fetish - can't get enough of it and I'm sure the F1's are taking a punishing

Yeah that was what scared the sh!t outa me, especially the ones where u get to the top of a hill and its a turn and in the middle of the turn there is a bump which shits u a foot over towards the feilds at the other side

Yeah but i found that with Mike too, and sorry mate but its more to do with my m@rshall tires being utter cr@p and the fact ive got them down to around 2-3mm to convince me to get some F1's.
And 14.5 is where it was meant to be set, i just hadnt had it on the road long enough to set it.
I need to curb my sideways fetish - can't get enough of it and I'm sure the F1's are taking a punishing
Ahh if u find a cure im sure mr2 and 200 ownership will decrease rapidly.
Oh and it was soooo much fun watching u all dissappear into the distance as got fuel cut, fuel cut, fuel cut:(
:D :D :D :D
lolage I knew u'd reply to that :D
Yer F1's really are worth the dosh, that was the 1st thing I bought after the brakes (which I didn't have a choice in - they were in a bad way, warped all round and the pads had **** all on them cos of the engine in the back in the MR2 the rear brakes actually do a lot of work). The car came with budget tyres all round when I bought it and I was very sideways without trying. In fact I joined the dual carriageway by the airport at a T junction from where the auction hall is, so this was like my 1st minute of being behind the wheel of an MR2. It was fast moving traffic on the dual carriageway so I held the revs high to make a gap. Pulled out and went for it an straight away the arse was trying to overtake me lolol - lucky I was alert and caught it before MR2 and central reservation became one! The funny thing was, rather than shitting myself about it I had this huge grin on my face all the way home!
I've got it booked into the bodyshop on Monday for it's nose job as my next move, then I'll be happy enough with it :)
Kev, any decisions on a track day? Knockhill? Hire our own airfield? Crail? Mike

Knew there was something we forgot!
Doh!!! :(
Mike id suggest u do as Graham did, ie. pick a date and present everyone with it, then we can see who can and cannot make it on that date, and possibly change it accordingly.
Say its at Crail and if anyone gives a better suggestion then change to there possibly.
Id say think of a 3weekend buffer and contact crail to see if its available, then hit us with it.
tbh there was only 6 of us at the meet so we couldnt make any decisions anyway, but going by the driving after the meet id say u have probably 6 definites for a track day.

Obviously the prob's with you're motor are slowing you down a bit, but it's good to know my 2***** is running as good as she feels, cheers matey :D !
Kenny, sorry mate, didn't get to say cheerio. You obviously decided on an eastward route.
When we were horsing it along those roads, was there much smoke coming from my exhaust at all?
Kev, how are your laydees (Kimberley and the 13), both better?
Lookin' forward to the next meet,
J
Kimberley is better, the '13, is slightly better.
I took the manifold off on friday to find both the rear most exhaust gaskets with huuuuge clumps missing out of them:eek:   :D

Jonny,
Yeah, i didn't realise the time - having too much fun. So
I confused the hell out of Kev & dobergoose by doing a
360 in one of the small side streets.
In regards to smoke from your zort, it was dark but I didn't
see anything untoward (i.e. there was no layer of oil on my
windscreen), and the smell was typical of a turbo
car being driven fast, not of an engine falling apart.
All in all, looking good :D :D :D
I'm giving the scooby a rest this week, particularly the clutch,
so I'm driving the Clio to work this week.
Cheers
Kenny
