For those in late 2006/early 2007 who were scammed by Sam Walker, aka SWS, tasha_p79, CA Power, whitey1980, Polar Mike, RB200SX .............

basically he has been up to his old tricks again, but with an entire car this time :eek:

It may be wise to contact the Police if you were scammed by Mr Walker as we believe they are currently looking to bring him to justice. Aklternatively, a PM to bunny on Driftworks may be worthwhile to keep up to date with the state of play.

my advice would be anyone who hasnt already come forward that he scammed- do it now!!!. contact the police force dealing with his arrest.

The more complaints he has against him the higher chance of a custodial sentence. The police have a limited time available between arrest and charge in order to build a case so get in there quick.

I hope everyone involved contacts the police so that when they take him to court there will be 50 different charges brought against him too...

thats great news. what a total ****er! I was also scammed and lost £300, not as much as some people, but hey its £300.:mad:

I contacted the Police, a special investigator came round, and he said that only a couple of people had put in a compliant. Come on peeps!!! But I havent heard anything yet.

At least he got what he deserved. If I ever meet him in the flesh... well you can see where I am going with this one :smash:

Just to re-iterate,
Anybody who has lost out on any cash to this person should report it to the police ASAP, make a crime report and give a statement. Once that happens it's not too much work for the cases to get linked up, and it very quickly builds into overwhelming evidence.

The alternative is that he gets charged for a couple of offences, has all the others "taken into consideration" at sentencing so that he can never be prosecuted for them, and gets away FAR too lightly. This guy is obviously a career scammer, and the full weight of his crimes need to be brought to bear.

Hopefully if the investigating officer has a handle on it, there should be a bit of asset seizure and compensation to victims flying about too....

For those that cannot access Driftworks (shame on you) the jist so far is:

Seems he is being implicated in cloning cars.
Police apparently have raided his house and/or questioned him.
Was spotted recently in Brighton on his R1 :rolleyes: (Fingers crossed :wack:)

And lastly, according to "someone who knows someone who knows him" his Mother passed away last year...

Yep, we have had similar information:

He has cloned number plates, and another guy has had his house raided by the police looking for Sam, as he gave him a false address and probably false I.D. My friend has also said the police told him Sam is wanted for 4 counts of something, but didn't say what.

A lot of people are after him, all we know so far is that he lives in Bognor Regis somewhere.

Keep your eyes out folks :)

edit: and it's a shame if him wrongly becoming some urban legend bogeyman dilutes the stories of what originally happened.

i did try to track him down as felt he needed a good kickin, but had no joy
and from what i did find out he was in newcastle some where, but now i hear hes down south
