Are these a decent hard drive?
Why are they so cheap?
Cheers,
Richard
Just ordered a few :)
nice find , i think they will however say that they can no longer supply them, but watford have honoured price mistakes in the past.
c.
For you I.T. bods among us, do you think their system will allow orders to be processed or will it hit a safety limit & stop after a certain point?
would be really nasty if their loss from this mistake went on unchecked all weekend...!
If this has happened before I guess they will have looked at this & put controls in place, does that mean we were among the first (thanks to Jenkski:) )?
Checked the bargin forums and they have 16 people list as buying some so say another 20 on top + us i don't think there is much chance of getting them.
Also they are doing 120GB's for £27

i'd say they've missed one 1 of the figure....
ie £106 and £127. That sounds right...
Getting 3 still :)
Seems its been sorted now. When I go to buy it shows the real price :(

Wonder what they'll do with those of us who got their order in when it was still £6.. :(
They can't charge us the extra 60 odd quid can they?

I can beat that. I've sorted out a load of stuff, I have around 100 full cds. Mostly around 650-700Mb Dunno where they've all come from. Oh hang on, my mate emails most of what comes out each week to me. He has some sort of Satellite download thing going, leaves his machine connected at night, by the morning, he's received just about every new album you can think of. Then he fills my machine up for me.

Have a look at the terms and conditions that you clicked you agreed to when you bought the disk for £6...

Thats like a company saying that it is ok for them to kill you when you enter their premises. The small print can say what it wants, the law is the law. They deduct your money, you get the drive for that price.

>the law is the law<
Unfortunately no test case for this circumstance has yet come to court, so there is no precedent for the English courts to use when an on-line seller misprices goods and has 'get out of jail free' terms and conditions like these. You would need to show that they have broken the Unfair terms in consumer Contracts Regulations 1994 OR that insufficient notice of the terms had been given to the buyer (citing as precedent Thorton v. Shoe Lane Parking Ltd [1971]).
Last time if happened with Watford electronics they honoured the agreements... I think everyone got GeForce cards very cheap

Can they just charge me extra for these drives? Dont really want the 3 I ordered if I have to pay full price ;)
Cheers,
Richard
I wouldn't have thought so, as you've only authorised them to take twenty odd quid from you as payment. If they then take around 300, I suppose this could be interpretated as theft.
I will buy one off of someone who bought silly amounts if they want (for more of course, just less than £68). I DESPERATELY need more HDD space :(
If they turn up that is ;)
