Im gonna try my hardest to get there as it sounds like loads of fun to meet you guys/gals and check out a bunch of cars I dont normally see. I'm still trying to source a good fair priced flight. Also I am wondering if I could stay at someones house for the duration of the stay. Possibly 1 week or so. In return I will offer my assistance in working on the vehicle and I will bring with me parts that will be duty, vat, and shipping free! NismoMark has already said he can deliver me from the airport.
Some questions I wouldnt mind answered:
Whats the going rate on food? How much would you spend daily if you were a tourist?
How easy is it to get around without a car? I know in Germany I could go anywhere.
I'd like to know what to avoid before hand. Like bad areas, people, etc.
Whats fun to do?

Depends what you like to eat. Myself I can get by on Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, Microwaved pasties from garages etc. Something you must try when here is Englands most favourite dish - the Chicken Tikka Massala, or any other curry for that matter, Vindaloo if you like it hot!!

Public transport is at best "adequate". At worst a f**kin' nightmare. London itself is fine usually (what I know of it), never had a problem getting around London on the tube. Our trains though are years behind most countries. Coach can be a cheap way of travelling.

At the obvious tourist traps watch out for pick pockets. Other than that just common sense really. Take care at night if travelling, and at train stations etc. There are bad area's in most cities but in general you would have no need to go to them.

Simon, Yeager... some questions:
1. Who would be less hampered by me staying there. I dont want to bother anyone, or get in the way.
2. Are you both withen walking distance ( 1 - 4 miles ) of a good place to eat? That way I can help myself to food. I dont have to inconvience you.
3. Anyone plan to need work done to their car? If you do I'll do it for nothing, as thanks for the shelter.
If you guys have any questions just lemme know.

I'm not fussed mate, I live on my own and work long hours, the spare room just doubles as a home recording studio thats it. I have friends from up North use my spare room when they are doing contracts down here, so i'm used to people in and out the place.

Good chippy over the road, and in town there are plenty of places to eat (10/15 minute walk). Theres alos probably the best Indian takeout i've had yet.

Oooh.. ok, complete rebuild with some new pistons, crank, cams etc :)
I MIGHT have my suspension by then, depends if I have the money, I wouldn't mind some help getting that all on and setup. (Although alignment is going to be done at garage near me)
Simons closer to Billing than me, but there would be a little convoy running from this neck of the woods so I suppose it doesn't matter.. your call.
