Sorry to post in here, but the Zed Forum is down, as per...

Which clutch do I chose...

ACT clutch
OR
RPS Street Clutch?

....which is better and why?

Cheers

Don't know much about either, but ACT seem very popular with the 240sx guys in the US...

FWIW the folks on TT.net don't seem to like the ACT clutches (in general, there are people who swear by them, of course), and the general concencus on RPS is that people like them..

Going by what I've read in the past on the TTnet tech pages.. a quick search on ACT revealed a few horror stories (clutches lasting 18months, etc etc)..

I seem to remember that Warren managed to lunch his ACT clutch in no time at all, and now has something else entirely.. I know he's running big(ger) power, but still..

My choice would be RPS Street, but you know that already :)

Personally I'm going for RPS Max pressure plate, with an RPS Street friction disc (Max 6 puck is horrible on the road), and an RPS billet flywheel, rebuildable to take a carbon/carbon setup, should I ever need it.

And back under my rock I go..

Hmmm....Does anyone own / run an RPS Street clutch?

Is it too stiff for daily driving?

(No smutty comments please) :p

I believe Smithy has an RPS Max clutch, which he drives on street, and he's certainly sold a fair few RPS Street kits..
