We've got the bit under the trees where the Supra club was last year. Is a very nice place to be if it's as sunny as last year!

I parked with the Skylines last year, I turned up (after a big night in Brighton, very hungover) on the Sunday (I think), sometime in the afternoon and just plonked the car next to some guys I knew, wasn' even a Nissan that I was driving.
I got there so late I saw Phatty leaving as I turned up.
The weather and the smoot was fantastic last year, lets hope for sunshine again.
Who was in the S13 doing donuts on the grass?
That was quite entertaining, it was very amusing when some GTi-Rs tried to have a go, best they could manage was a little slide.

Yup we all grouped up and camped with the cars with plenty of beer, the year before I got five miniutes sleep in the car before paul slung a can of red bull at me and called me a wimp
Im planning on getting there on friday this year to nab a better camping spot.

You gits! That's the supra clubs spiritual home! :)

How did you pull that one off?

I guess it's like in a supermarket where they put the beer furthest from the door so you have to walk past all the crap like vegetables and toothpaste to get to it. We're beer, you're vegetables. HAHA! :D

nah it's sweet - all the supra's rolled in there last year and now we have it :D

Supraman: interesting theory, but let's face it, people are gonna walk through the SXOC section and realise how cool and chilled it all is and not bother going any further ;) :D

Do u get midgies in England?
If so being near to the trees, we will be eaten alive.
Will be good for the shade though, us Scots folk dont do too well in the heat:(

I second the throwing in the lake scenario, although i think it would be classed as child abuse.

MR2 club is miles away this time, gonna be a fair trek to see all the clones:rolleyes:

Surrounded by the bigger boys too.

Does anyone else think that area aint gonna be big enough?
How many cars do u reckon we will fit in there?

Kev

As an idea/ suggestion to the Mods, before things all JAE Billing go mad, how about a section dedecated to SXOC @ JAE so we can all post related JAE stuff like the SXOC BBQ, Convoys to 'n' from, Club stand, camping area grouping? and other such madness ??:)

Or is this just to organised an idea for all us laid back SX owners ? :)

Thats a fantastic idea... not sure if anyone here has been to many american airshows (in the UK, Mildenhall, Alconbury etc) but each squadron would have a superb BBQ setup, sometimes using bombs to BBQ in :):)

The space we have been allocated is good for 80 cars, so the organisers have told me.

What we'd like to do, if possible, is have our stand organised so that S14s are on one side and S13s on the other. If we can do it, maybe get them sorted by colour too, would look quite smart I think.

There doesnt appear to be much extra camping area this year. Last year the area now occupied by 'Ds' was the camp area. Looks pretty much the same sort of space this year, maybe a touch more.

I reckon we should aim to set our tents up in the bottom right corner of the camping area.

I like the idea of a big BBQ but perhaps that should be left for the evening as there will be a decent amount of food stalls there during the day. The only problem is whos going to volunteer to be the mug that looks after the barbie all night?

SXOC @ JAE section? Yup, OK. I'll stick it in the sticky section.

oh fcuk we are in trouble then if hes building the BBQ (not that i could do it any better before anyone says different):D

It will cook at about twice the speed of the normal BBQ
Be absolutely uncontrollable and all over the place
Spit flames absolutely fcuking everywhere.

Dont beleive me ask him bout the petrol station and petrol over everybodies cars:D

Will be a nice idea to have S13's on one side and the 14's on the other side. However, was thinking that if you arranged them by colour it might take some of the impact away? IMHO it might be better to alternate the colours, otherwise people see a red 200, then another red 200, then another.....

Nothing at all wrong with red cars, mate, it's just the first colour that sprang to mind lol :D

I've never been, but having just read the posts and having had a look at the official JAE site, it sounds a right fookin' laugh :D

One small question tho', is the ground pretty flat ? 'Cos following the recent addition of a few sporty springs, it's quite low

How many people are the club hoping to attract ? As far as I can tell, the response on the board seems very very positive :)

Regards...Mike.

The sxoc stand was one of the largest last year, loads of cars, almost too many to fit on the stand on the Saturday I was there. I think there will be quite a few more attendees this year who like yourself have read about the good times and want to join in.

The grounds pretty flat, there's a few bridges over rivers to negotiate but they're not as severe as a ramp in a multi story car park. There's also speed bumps in places but they're of the small and sharp variety iirc, and of coures no field is going to be like a billiard table:D

Simon
20-02-2003, 16:39
It sounds like a great laugh. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully should have a couple of mates along too. Do we have any indication on how many cars will be coming along yet then?

milo

Many thanks Wak.

At least I know they'll be a few people there to help carry the zorst :D

lol, nice one Adam. I cant believe the vegetables got our slot...you b4574rds.

Should be a great event this year, we booked about 100 slots for the Supras on Sunday and we get 1 huge great tree in our area...not a bunch of piddly, sap dropping twigs ;)

btw, site plan on the first post wasnt working when I looked, theres on in the events section on www.mkivsupra.net/bbs if the one at the jae site has disappeared.
