Hi Guys

Seeing as the last group buy Rads (here (http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=268381)) for £90 were so successful I have decided to do another one, we need a minimum 30 orders though. I know we had a slight fitment problem with the S13 ones so and I am now getting these new ones adjusted to suit :)

The prices for the 52mm ones will again be £90.

This time I will be adding a few extras

These will be:-

1:- Adding silicon hoses for £25 (only available in blue)

2:- There will also be the option of having 2x large 12" cooling fans with an amazing 1400CFM each with fixing and fitting kits (inc thermostatic fan switch built into the rad) for an extra £60, or you can add an adjustable one which fits into the hoses for an extra £20 making it £80 with an adjustable fan kit.

3:- Also for just an extra £30 on top of that you can even have a special aluminium cowling made similar to the one Polo made here:-
http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=49280&stc=1&d=1190637074
http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=49280&stc=1&d=1190637074

So let’s re-cap that, it's a 52mm thick radiator, hoses, fans & fixtures with non-adjustable fan switch and cowling for just £205 for the complete kit.

If that's not good enough; if we manage to hit 50 or more orders then I will honour the whole lot for just £195

So the options are as follows:-

Option 1 Radiator on its own. £90
Option 2 Radiator + Silicon Hoses £115
Option 3 Radiator + Silicon Hoses + Fans and fitting kit and all wiring switches etc £175
Option 4 Radiator + Fans and fitting kit £150 (no hoses)
Option 5 Radiator + Silicon Hoses + Fans and fitting kit + Cowling £205 or £195 with 50 or more peeps

If you already own one of my existing rads then these 2 options may be to your liking:-

Option 6 which will be the fans, fixing kit, inline hose temp controller for £80 or
Option 7 which is the same as 6 but with the cowling for £110 :)
Option 8 which is the same as 7 but with the Hoses for £125 :)[/B]

Postage will be £12.50 for just the rad with hoses, or £15 with the rad hoses and fan kits/cowling etc :)

List below the Username, Car type, Option number eg:-

1:- Dan@DBpower, S13 (CA18DET), Option 5

If you wish to participate in this group buy I will require a £20 deposit (non-refundable, unless we don't hit numbers) which can be paid for here:- Radiator Groupbuy (http://www.db-power.co.uk/index.php?cPath=390&)

The group buy will end at the end of October so be quick :) and rads will be ordered at the same time as the group buy closes. Delivery should be 2 months :)

Many Thanks

Hi Mate

The rads are of similar size but will be thicker :)

As for the fans both, it just depends on which way round you put the terminals :)

"tread carefully mode on"

Rads/fans
I would say 6-8 weeks from the group buy end

Cowlings
I would say about 3 weeks from the group buy end :)

but seeing as Winter is coming up I can't see it being a problem with timescales :)

26-09-2007, 10:21

Dan, I'm just trying to pay you the deposit for my stuff there now, however its asking for £23 because I'm in Ireland. I don't mind paying that bit extra but I just said I'd let you know before I go ahead with it so you know there's extra coming or you can change the setting on the shop to remove it, or whatever you think yourself. Just let me know, once you do I'll pay it in right away.

Yep the fans come with a universal fitting kit which goes between the fins of the rad and gets secured at the other side of the rad :)

The cowling would just increase performance and the look :D

hi, got 2 rads from You, on last grop buy.

Question - can You measure fans? thickness, widht, height ? and can you make photo of fans only?

I might be interested in set of two, + switch, etc.

and some funny questions - temperature sensors in those fans - will work only in water, or doesnt matter, those will also work in "air"?

Regards

Hi Odinn

I only have limited info at the moment, but here is what I can help you with:-

width and height will be 14" (roughly) thickness I will find out :)

The option you will need to go for is the one with the adjustable fan switch which goes into top or bottom hose, they go on water temp :)

14"?? for 1 fan I belive O_o? so a set for 1 rad is 28"x14"?

post more photos when you will have some... fans, sensors, mounting... etc etc

I've just payed my deposite for one of these (full kit with adjustable fan switch too), could you confirm the full price of this for me just so i know, all those otions are confusing!! - is it £205 + £20 for adjustable switch?

also, its for an s13 with SR20DET, so do i just get the same kit as for an s14? or is there a specific 's13 SR20' rad?! thanks

I should be able to get an S13 with SR20 rad :)

And yes the full price would be £225 with an adjustable switch :) or £215 if we meet the target of 50 :)

Dan

Stoke nutter, still open and full payment would be due at the end of Oct :)

Hi dan can I change mine to an option 3 rather than 2. Deposit already paid.

Also is there any major advantage to having the ajustable in the hosing rather than the built in inline one in the rad???

I was gettin confussled. :(

Any chance you can put up a picture of one fitted with a cowling again, as it doesn't seem to work on the first place of the thread for me.

Too be honest I would always prefer a built in non adjustable one as they are less prone to failure :)

Dan, just a couple of questions, sorry if they've already been asked.

With reference to S13......

Will the fans fit an OEM radiator?

If a radiator kit is bought without the hoses, do the original hoses fit OK?

Dear Dan,

I am pablo13 off sxoc I would like some clarification as to whats left to pay on the alloy rad group buy. I sent a deposit of £20 first. Then, when I was ordering a big brake kit from you, on the totals page it also said "Radiator group buy deposit no.2" which was also £20. Which I paid along with my brake order. So I belive there is £110 left to pay, as I will also collect from you from Januarys HWH meet. I would apprieciate if you could check you records and confirm this for me. Thanks.

Regards

hi did you use parcelforce 48 as the coventry branch are crap, a couple of times they have not left a missed delivery ticket and its only by contacting the seller that i found out:nod: [im in a bit of a rush to get mine as its holding up me finnishing my front end:nod:]

got mine today guys, rad looks ok at first glance but cant say im too impressed with the cowling at the moment. the large bolts at the bottom are fastened in a way that makes them virtually impossible to tighten, and the cut out for the lower pipe looks like it was cut out by a 6yr old with blunt tin snips!! nothing i cant sort, just a bit disapointed to recieve new items of poor quality. overall happy with the purchase and service
