help with TV out lead on comp?

hi,
i just got a tv out lead for my computer,
connected to my comp connected to scart in on tv,
tryed to play video from mediaplayer, nothing happening on tv,
anyone know what im doing wrong?

Usually u need to go into the video card properties, and change it to TV out.

I have it done!

It shows what u have displayed on the monitor is showed on the TV all the time!

Check u have the TV enabled on the settings, and that u have the right scart socket selected on ut TV

What type of lead are you using out of your pc?
I assume it is a composite lead?

As the others have said you need to make sure the output is set to the TV (on the graphics card), making sure your TV is on the correct setting for that scart socket. Do you definatly know that it accepts a vid picture on that scart, i have one that apparently only does audio as standard, i had to mess about with some settings on the TV.

Check the adapter that your composite cable use using, you really only need the yellow lead plugged in. See if you can try another adapter. Use a 3.5mm audio lead from your pc for the audio (unless you have the seperate channels on your soundcard).

been messing round for a while now,
i have seperate rca leads for audio that plug into rear of scart they work fine,
i set the picture as clone,anlogue for monitor,tv pal 1 for uk tv .
i get cloned picture on every thing exept when i play video from any media player,when playing video i can get tv or monitor not both,
also when i restart it all goes back to US NTSC format eventho i have clicked on apply and ok
any ideas gents:confused:

My radeon VIVO card works the same way.....can view the dekstop or any application on both the monitor and the tv....BUT....as soon as I try to output from mediaplayer/dvd I get only one or the other........it's the way the card is configured and there's not a lot you can do about it...so far at least

i got a Gforce mx400 card,
it worked for i music video on both,but now it wont have it at all,
also every time i restart i loose pal and goes back to NTSC format,

been on the nvidia forum it seems that many poeple are having yhe same problem,
many of the drivers are playing up,
anyone solved it?

moz, I have a Geforce 4400 connected to TV via S-video - I plugged the svideo into the VCR which is connected to TV through a Scart socket. this works ok and everything i've tried so far displays ok on the TV ... BUT .. I've found that since I switched to the 40.82 drivers I can't run anything fullscreen through TV or it corrupts the image and makes it unwatchable. I haven't seen this problem elsewhere though which makes it more annoying to try and troubleshoot.
