A bit of an old mans car I know, but I want a cheap car while the insurance take their sweet time over deciding whether to repair our smashed Peugeot. There's a couple in the Trader for £350 but are they any good?????

I had one. If you can go for the 2.0iGSX version (115bhp). The 1.6 (82bhp) and 1.8 (90bhp) struggle with the heavy body. However, anything above an LX (inclusive) has electric EVERYTHING. I wouldn't bother with the 1.8 Turbo (135bhp) (tempting as it may be - it may cause u problems)

Ultra reliable too and VERY cheap insurance - 1.8 is group 6!!

Cheers guys - might have to black the windows in case anyone I know sees me driving it ;) - but I need some cheap transport while the insurance are pi55ing about.

The two I have in mind are 1.6, not going to be fast then:rolleyes:, oh well.

I'll go and have a look tomorrow then.....

Too dear for a cheap runabout Ant, if I buy one I'll only use it for a few weeks until I can find another 405 then sell it again, or give it to Mrs Waks sister who is currently driving a death trap Escort.
