As ever we hope to have a stand at the Japshow finale at Santapod where you can see the fastest Japanese cars in teh country compete over the 1/4 Mile.
There is also a "run what you brung" element, so you can have a little competition against fellow SXOC members.

Going to give it a miss. Went to the original Japshow, and although it had plenty of potential, the rain washed the whole day out - a total waste of 600 miles to me. I cant afford the risk again. I never knew until i got to the gate that they dont run AT ALL unless its bone dry.
IMO they need to install some sort of under-tarmac heating or something.

Thats half the fun of it mate. This will be my first show with the SXOC too but from previous experience (colchester and halfway house meets) everyone is pretty friendly and approachable :thumbs:

UPDATE
The stand is now reserved.
Club stand booking has changed somewhat from last time I sorted this so we need to get 20 tickets bought, I can either sort this, OR when using the online system, please make sure you put SXOC in the comments field.
If I sort this then I can get bulk discount, and if I order a certain amount, I get the same amount for free.
Stand passes are also issued, these come to me and will need sending out to you.
I will post up details shortley :)

Maybe for me, hopefully my car will be coming out of the body shop that friday and i wont be doing drift demo's that soon after its done!

Putting the S15 helical diff on and decent alignment has helped a lot, but yep traction is a problem
he wouldn't know, Gary hasn't let him drive it since 2005 except to JAE and back
Hah, Drove it home on Monday so ner! though it is going straight back to APT as soon as the new wastegate spring arrives for final mapping:)

Hi guys, to get this moving, I either need you guys to purchase 16 more tickets, or I can order 16 more tickets on your behalf to secure the stand as we need to sell half the tickets the stand will hold, please let me know ASAP of any ticket requirements, or you can book them online but make sure you reference SXOC (let me know if you have done) Unfortunately bulk ticket orders dont offer much discount.

I have restricted internet access and therefore havent been on line since 1630 last night, Everything is thus far in the post, all tickets went recorded first thing this morning (having a postoffice at work is :cool: ). The some stand passes also went this AM, others will be in the post tonite, anyone who has requested a stand pass will get one :)
I can't go now, but unfortuantely Vez has sent my tickets out. So...
I've got 2 tickets for sale for Sunday and I presume a Stand Pass as well in there. Since there is a Royal Mail Strike tomorrow :rolleyes: it will be collection only or I can deliver within reasonable distance for a bit of petrol money.

because i'm worried that tickets might not arrive in time for Sunday i spole with Sant Pod today and this is what they told me....
"Members will have to purchase tickets at the gate and as long as they return the ticket they purchased on the day along with their original ticket that was delayed in the post, they will recieve a refund for the unused ticket"
Sounds pretty cool to me..... now all i have to worry about is getting the stand pass.

See post 107 for ticket news with regard to the postal strike if you have been affected, Im on teh case for stand passes now :)
OKay I have confirmed, I will be picking up and extra 15 stand passes, this should solve any issue :)
So if your ticket hasnt arrived, when it does turn up, santapod will issue you a refund for the late ticket :)
If you are awaiting a stand pass in the post and it hasnt arrived, find me on the day and you will be able to grab one :)

was up there today, the location of the sxoc stand is fairly near the entrance (in the first parking area on the left) seems like the only restriction is for getting round to the pits.

A good day out, though the stand turnout was a little disappointing I thought :(. Perhaps that was partially due to the positioning as I think we would have been better on the far side, as in previous years :nod:.

Yup, agreed :nod: I think people thought it was just part of the carpark :D
The only people I saw looking around the stand were other SXOCers.
I was nice to put a few more faces to names, although I will have forgotten them all by the time Japfest 08 rolls around :smash:
I really did think that was just a carpark... I walked up and down looking for you guys from a spectators point of view I would'nt of thought, to walk over there!!, oh well.

sorry guy's but at my age i would have needed a taxi to get from the club stand to the far side of the track. So we blagged our way past the marshalls and parked up in the Show N Shine Arena. Perfect spot :D.
Still it was a good show...... drifting was the best bit!
Lets book early next year and get the SXOC back where it belongs.......

The good one. I'm still so gutted. I looked all around inside the car, all around the house, down the sofa, outside, under the car, walked to my local shop to see if I dropped it there.
Looks like it's gone for good. I'm not sure if the most gutting this is losing those fine pics, or the £70 memory card :confused:
I guess I will just need to wait until next year :annoyed:

Was a bit of a poor turn out for 200's but stand place may have had something to do with it, think we were quite lucky to even have a stand.
Sorry i dissapeared guy's, after i came back from meeting Warner for my clutch evreryone had gone some where and i didnt have any numbers or signal to come meet back up.

i got 15.1 in my s13 with just an full apex exhaust,oh and it slightly overboosting due to the little crack in my turbo exhaust housing.what should they get standard,mine does have 172k on the clock.lol.

i got 15.1 in my s13 with just an full apex exhaust,oh and it slightly overboosting due to the little crack in my turbo exhaust housing.what should they get standard,mine does have 172k on the clock.lol.

whats happening about these late tickets then? just got mine through today, can we send them back to you Vez for a refund? and then you can send them all off at once? as they have your name on the top.
