Found it so now to fix it.

I have found my coolant leak, well at least one of them - hope that there are not any more. The very short pipe at the front of the inlet manifold (at right angles to the engine block above the oil cooler/filter) pi**es coolant when the system is pressurised to 1 bar - yes I have bought a system tester :wack: if anyone needs to test their system.

Don't know yet whether it is just the hose clip f*cked or the hose is split. Really awkward hose to get to, looks like I need to do some dismantling.:mad:

Looks the same size as the heater hoses so not really worth buying samco for a bit that is only 3" in length at most.:rant:

I know the one, I probably have some original rad hose (it is the same size) somewhere you can butcher. The only problem is that it might not be in a very good state either and could land you back in the same situation.

I might (though a very long shot) have some samco.

EDIT: I do have some samco, I have 2 bits infact.
Both 38mm bore and about 70mm long, not sure where they came from but I wish I knew I had them when I put my engine together.

LOL, I evidenty don't know the one.
Besides I've just tried this on an old block and it's a tad too big, it needs to be 35mm.

I've got some 15.9mm bore samco.

:thumbs: May be in touch once I have got the old one off. Will have to turn the car around and park on the wrong side of the road. It gets a bit hairy working on the offside with buses coming past.:wack:

Not sure, will have to look tomorrow. Extremely difficult to get to, though. Looks like I will need to take the plenum off in order to get to it.:wack: :smash: :smash: :annoyed:
