View Full Version : And the fastest car in a built up area is....?
Overtaken 3 times last night and twice this morning (in the snow!!!!!!!!!) by Corsas and Saxos who went past as if I was standing still in built up areas.
Just wandered who you think the biggest Built Up Area Heros are

mostly nova's and a couple of lads round here in crap old bmw's :p
they dont seem to understand that the bmw badge does not mean it can perform and handle like an f1 car.
BMWs aren't on the list - had one tailgating me on the way to work the other day so I let a gap build up between me and the car in front and then showed the Beemer a clean pair of heels. He got the message and backed off a bit:)

Nice. There's no feeling like it! :D
Flames are still the best way to stop tail-gaters though...

Round these parts it's clapped old Honda CRX's with 17' rims, loud exhausts, glowing washers and about .34 mm of ground clearance.
My girlfriend saw one overtaking a girl in a STi type RA on a blind corner the other day. The scoob driver was just burbling up the hill shaking her head at the clown. No doubt he'll be down the pub claiming how he'd just out dragged another impreza
Its the old story - those who can, don't need to prove they can, whereas our Saxo/Corsa cousins? obviously feel the need to prove they can! Unfortunatly most of em can,t.
Most of my mates aren't car enthusiasts (perhaps explains why I spend so much time on here :D ) and one of the few that is enthusiastic drives a Nova :o :(
Drives it in standard Nova fashhion i.e. far too quickly despite the terrible brakes :( However it does seem to have some sort of 'reverse tardis' effect going on, as he can fit through gaps I doubt you could get a push bike thru  :D
Mainly Novas, cant understand why they put about a grands worth of wheels on a car that's rusty with dents in it thats worth about £150

But if you're Vauxhall you can put a badge on it, sell it as a shopping car and get numerous pimply oiks to spend thousands making it look silly :D

Fast car in the city?
Lancia Delta Integrale.
Fukcing fly they do; quicker than a three litre Capri even.

H-reg red 2L Cavalier
I know a bloke with one and he can outrun me on a Honda FireBlade, yet alone a slightly rusty Japanese coupé
And now he's got a 2.5 V6 Vectra. We've no chance.

He said he had 154 on the speedo the other day.
"Oiye had it at a hundred an fifffty foaawwwrr. It's soooowww torquey. It handles brilliantly."
He's so funny. Remember when he just refused, point blank, to accept that any other car was any good?
What about a Ford Focus John?
No! ****! They don't handle!
Audi?
No! ****!
VW?
No! ****!
Vectra?
No! ****!
Maclaren F1?
No! ****! I can't get in the boot!
Hahaha
Where I live we have:-
Three bodykitted (H-reg) Fiestas
Two bodykitted (F and H reg) B*Ws
Some twat with a Vitara
A couple of absolute no-hopers in N*vas (Nova Spin, anyone?)
And a couple of 'Mum's lent me her S*xo' merchants. :D
Oh, and the c*nt in a Rover 214 who went belting up the Highstreet two weeks ago and hit an Escort coming the other way so hard he pushed it back up the road and onto a parked car.
The sad part is the little f*cker's still alive.....
