View Full Version : Hammond's Slag...
Probably about time I started a project thread on my budget S13 drift slag.
It started life like this...
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o34/drift0_slag/30122006694.jpg
...standard apart from a DV, cat back, and poly subframe bushes.
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o34/drift0_slag/05012007736.jpg
...Badly in need of coilovers :wack:
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o34/drift0_slag/driftslag003.jpg
Coilovers on = major scrapage :wack:
After a good service and a clean it looks like this...

http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o34/drift0_slag/Canon400D865538.jpg
Rota's went on...
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o34/drift0_slag/Canon400D0332.jpg
Greddy Boost Controller went in and set at 0.9. Although it's only like a .2 increase it does feel more responsive and pulls that little bit better. Turbo Timer is also in and working. I finished off the catch tank install (at frickin last) and just generally tided up the bay.

Finished stripping the rear out and started painting the rear...

Elbow & downpipe went on...

Turbo & manifold gaskets gave up so had the lot replaced and got hold of a cheap Hybrid T25 with a 360 bearing.
30mm spacers FTW!

Brought Andy_f's old cage. Me and the old man managed to get it fitted (pics taken when test fitting). I'm going to leave the door bars off until I loose some fatty fat fat and am able to get in and out hahaha! Just kidding, it's a daily drive so I don't need them at the moment.

For 2008 I hope to take part in as many comps and practice days as possible and to obtain my license and improve my consistency level to become a more confident driver. The car's current setup is spot on for my level and theres nothing I feel I need to change (famous last words ;)). Other then a FMIC and some adjustable camber arms.

lovely project for the amateur spec, keep it up and instead of buying all the time, save and buy in bulk its cheaper...
