Now then now then...
I'm going to have to rebuild my webby sometime soon as the current one is functional but not really all that exciting...

Of the above packages, what do you reckon is the best? I like flash sites (have a look at www.thefinktank.com) and all the sweet animations that can be produced.
THe question is - how difficult is it?

What do DW and FW offer that would be easier/netter/more functional?

Any good courses offered in these apps? Or any southern experts offering training? ANd how much can I get teh software for?

Cheers!
:D

Dreamweaver is king, flash is good, but remember alot people don't like waiting for flash to load etc, and it is a bitch to design with.

I say you want Dreamweaver (the tutorials are good too), and then get Swish, and use little flash effects from swish encorporated into the HTML.

All the packages you have mentioned Starionman all link to form a web developement suite, and as rule I would NEVER use Dreamweaver WITHOUT Fireworks as It takes most of the hassel out of optimising images for you!

Learn Dreamweaver, the tutorials and help files are absolutly fantastic, and will make this seemingly impossible to use program, seem fairly straight forward!

Swish does text effects in FLASH format, and it is lamer proof, and better/quicker than flash IMO.

To get these programs go to this website: http://www.overnet.com
