View Full Version : Windscreens
The windscreen in my girlfreinds Mk2 Gold has just developed a huge crack in it.
How much do you recon a new one would cost? Is there any way you can pust a 2nd hand one in? or is it a pro job only?
Any ideas guys?
Do you have windscreen cover on your insurance? If so cost you about £50 and won't affect your no claims.
No idea, Ill have to look at me girlfriend documents tonight.
Never had to sort a windscreen before
I have a MkII golf gti sitting in my garden doing nothing screens fine if you want any parts let me know:)
Are you brakeing it?
Id be after some parts but I dout that the carrage on the windscreen would be cost effective but I may be interested in some of the smaller bits :)
Any idea if a windscreen claim on the insurance would cover having the original seal replaced not reused as I've heard that they're a bit expensive(no surprises there!).
