Hi chaps,

Hit a small problem that I need some help with.

I plan to mount 3 52mm gauges (autometers that I already have) in the dash of my S14a where the airvents are above the heater controls. I cut out the air vents and made up a plate (which took hours, grrr). But when you poke the gauges through, they foul the heater controls box, behind the dash, as they come through at an angle, rather than 100% horisontal like the heater controls. So I need to space them out a bit.

Any ideas how? I think my options are:

1) Space them out somehow
2) Attach a triple guage ebay style pod to the original Nissan dash surround by cutting/glue/painting. Think this would work really well but cannot find a suitable pod. Saw a din style one on an Evo, but cannot remember where.
3) Do something completely different like mount them all on the dash with single gauge adapter things (looks gayish).

I already have filled up the space around the stereo, it has a headunit and the avc and sfc down there now, plus I want to be able to see the guages clearly.

Lastly, don't like Pillar pods, as the guages are not all together.

Any ideas/suggestions/links would be really great, thanks guys. :) :)

I'd stick them in below the stereo, or move the stereo, after all, if they are for temps and oil pressure you dont need to have them in the field of view all the time. (I did mount my boost gauge in an A pillar pod though ;) )

sort of, it's proper carbon weave but it's self adhesive.
see my thread for more pics and details here is the linky (http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=294231)

I used the sun shades, turn them round and fit backwards then they work as spacers and give a better viewing angle.

I'm looking at introducing s14 direct replacement panels with gauge options in the next few months, doing them in fibreglass and to fit as original panels.

asked Jeff about options on advertising on here ages ago but only got partial reply, keep an eye out on ebay for panels in near future. (hope that doesn't contravene advertising on here). If it takes off, might set up as trader on here. :)
