Does anyone know if you can get terminal server for XP pro?
Or is win 2003/XP.NET the only way?
Metaframe XP works I think :)

What's that?
I just want a TS server i can run on my XP boxes at home and work so i can easily administer them.
Yeah - it's called remote desktop, and it's built into XP. Look under the properties of My Computer, and it's in the remote tab.
Win XP comes with Remote Desktop Administration already built in. Metaframe XP is for Win2k servers. Fecking expensive too. Just done an install of it. Works well though. 5 workstations running a SQL database across a 64k Leased line. Slows down a bit when printing though, so I've convinced the people to invest in a 1Meg line instead

Oh yeah. :o:o
Well sod me, I've asked loads of people about that at work too.
Cheers. :)
Shame you have to be logged out though.
No you don't. If you connect to a logged-in machine, it'll lock the screen, but that's all. Unlocking it will kill the remote session though.
Complete steaming pile of poo:mad:
Bloody Microsoft:mad:
Why can't they just fix the bugs BEFORE they release it:mad:
Spent 3 days on the phone to Microsoft when a company I do consultancy work for put terminal services on with office XP at the same time. Bloody thing wouldn't work just pushing a button on Word document to get it to attach to an email. Outlook too Bloody slow under terminal services:mad:
3 days later Macrosh!t get back to tell me it doesn't work.....
