Dont be, all they do is whistle over 110mph even after theyve been tightened.
Am v happy to have no sunroof on mine.
Got air-con so don't need a sunroof. Useless, noisy headroom sapping things.
Used to have a Citroen XM and each time it rained, the rain would leak through the sunroof onto the relay and the fecking thing would keep opening up. Was not happy but soon cured it by taking out the fuse. If I'd known what the rest of the car was going to be like I'd have cured it by driving the bloody thing into the nearest lake

oh. i wont ask if its worth having a sunroof fitted then. I think having a s/r and a/c isnt a bad thing. sometimes its pleasant to enjoy "open top motoring", but sometimes its so bloody hot that you'd rather have a/c...

According to Nissan, they arnt.
Not on any fiche or even there cd roms, only the manual cr@p one
Mine eleccy and its a UK car - log book, FNSH, I even have the original warranty book thingy!
Hooray! It looks like I have a mod none of you lot have :D :p
Just been looking through my service history - between 0 and 30,000 miles it had an service/oil change every 2,000 - 2,500 miles  Now that's dedication! It's every 3/4k after that.
From a purely aesthetic point of view, IMHO the sunroof spoils the nice sweeping roofline of the S13 :p ;)

Gotta agree with you there pete.... 200s look way better without a sunroof (especially if you remove the spoiler) :D

Just to finish it off, having a manual sunroof gives the option for your wife to break the bloody handle when you're on the M4, leaving you with the sunroof section slapping up and down for 40 miles until you can find a way to tie the damn thing down.
Being fair, I did quite a bit of taking the sunroof completely out and putting it in the boot last summer. Was almost like having a T-bar version of the car, lovely.
My sunroof is huge - it almost the entire length of the roof - when wound back it goes up and over the rear windows.

Best be careful you don't end up with folk treating your car as a skip then ;)
Funny you should say that, I think at some opportunity most of my mates have chucked something at me through the sunroof! :D
Nothing beats the little sh1t whilst I was waiting at the traffic lights tho...I had just got back from driving from work wearing my suit, tie etc... and it was hot so I had driver window and sunroof open. Anyways, some little 8 year old walking past on the pavement had one of these supersoaker waterguns and decided it would be good to spray me whilst I'm waiting at the traffic lights - the little bugger!! :D Got soaked!

Sounds like an aftermarket sunroof to me, Nissan only fitted pop-ups.
How would an electric sunroof be fitted tho - it'd be a lot of faff? :)
Mine car was built over that 1 year era where they used a mix and match of parts (LSD, big brakes etc) perhaps an electric sunroof was going to be a part of the lineup for facelift models but then they decided against...
tbh stu if u look at the roof lining of cars with a sunroof, it looks like my bluebird that did have an electric sunroof, so its as if it was meant to have an electric one.
Bump.
Any newer members got an eleccy sunroof? I can't believe I'm the ONLY one here with one??

Hooray! I'm not alone! :wack:
I have a electric sunroof on mine.
It's a J reg facelift. Has the pre-facelift disks as well  . Very noisy at speed 80mph+ though.
Definatly manufacturer looking at the build of it. My switch is as you described, with the light positioned just in front of it. Where as the only other 200 with a sunroof i've seen has the light towards the back of the car!

I have both. I'd rather just have the Air con :indiff:
On the 205 forum everyone wants a car without a sunroof for the lower CofG. Personally I love mine on the 205. The GSE has an electric one but it looks like it's leaked a lot in the past so I haven't dared open it yet :p
there was aguy came to chessie meet once, had a leccy sunroof, light green prefacelift IIRC, my sunroof is shite, whistles at anything above 80, becomes unbearable when doing 100+. not that i've ever been that fast, was just a guess:rolleyes:
wish i didn't have one
Sunroof = less rigidity :down:
I admit, it does make a right din on the motorway - its actually quieter to open it! :wack: Rattles quite a bit going round town to as the glass rubs around the rubber edges.

i havent had that much of a problem with noise on the motorway, i have a '94 s13 with a sunroof..
maybe that's because my previous car was an escort 1.8 diesel, 1990, which is noisy and has whistling as soon as you're going 40 so i dont really notice it that much :)

Not many s13's I've seen have working ac, the condensor rusts through at the ends and leaks. Both my s13's had ac (one worked, one didn't) and neither had sunrooves. Working one is a '92j, non-working was a '92k.
