I just wondered if there were any members near Newmarket that know their stuff with regards to checking a 14a over.
I am very new to this, and am aquiring the car on Saturday, and will be using this daily as my company car. I just wanted to have some peace of mind that it is in respectable order etc.
Can sort out some cold beers / cash for whoever can help?
Many thanks in advance.....:)

Where abouts is the car? If not too far I'd be happy to come and have a look for you. I'm in Wisbech.

Hi Jem,
Many thanks for the reply. The car will be back in Newmarket this weekend onwards (as long as it makes it back from Leicester ok when i collect it).
If all is ok on the drive back, I can gladly come over to Wisbech or whatever suits you?
I have never looked at cars, and always had company motors, so never learned a thing about them.... Planning to start now tho, as I will be resposible for it staying on the road!!!...
Let me know what suits you best, and hope we can sort something.
Again, many thanks,:)

You're more than welcome to pop over (just straight down the A47 from Leicester), Saturday and Sunday are free for me:thumbs:

Saturday may be easier then if i am coming past. I should be getting the train up there with the better half, and then driving back.
Do you have a contact number, and I can keep you posted as to how I am getting on time wise. I am going to Ireland on business on Wednesday, returning late Friday, but feel free to email me or txt me if there are any problems on 07935 303544 or crunch101@crunch101.wanadoo.co.uk.
Look forward to seeing you!
(any preference to beer type?)
Si

Wow, really appreciating the offers guys. I think I already have a problem with a leak before turbo, which I understand could be kinda bad? Someone in dullungham has offered to have a look, but if anyone can help with the turbo leak, would really appreciate it (for cash of course)
I live in Saxon Street if that makes any difference, or I can bring it to you?
PM me with ur details if it sounds an option?
Many thanks in advance...

I had a look round it on Saturday, and on the whole looks a decent car. Needs a little TLC paint wise, but nothing a little care and elbow grease won't sort. Tyre sizes are too small, 205/40/17 IIRC. Have you changed that manky olf air filter yet? Looks like an oil change would be wise too, it's not bad, but could do with changing.

Lol, I have a new air filter, but not the chance to change it yet, Turbo timer has arrived, but no idea how to fit.. lol. And apparently a leak before turbo too, so need to get that checked...
Ho hum, start of lots of work and expense methinks....
