Hi All,

Just a quick note to let you all know that drifting at Oulton Park is back! The first date is set for Friday October 26th.

More information can be found at: www.motorsportvision.co.uk/drifting but as always, any questions - please don't hesitate to get in touch.

If there is enough interest from the club then we could certainly look at organising an exclusive event for you!?!?

Alex

Hi Fliks,

We do ask that you do a few laps with an instructor at the start of the day but once that is complete your welcome to practice away to your hearts content! That said, the instructors are available throughout the day for in car tuition.

Thanks

Alex

Is this on the same day as a trackday, and if so is it possible to do a half day of each?

Kill two birds with stone then. :)

good idea scottie...

I'll definately be doing this day, the last one was ace, and i'll be getting my bro in his s15 to come aswell as many fellow SXOC'ers

plus can i just add that if possible, please could you limit the numbers as the last one of these was EXCELLENT fun but the queues were a bit too long and not enough parking space by the track due to large numbers.... and have you filled the bomb holes up at the side of the circuit?? ha ha

Scottie - Unfortunately the trackday that day is for bikes I'm afraid but I'll bare this in my for the next one.

We are looking at running a car trackday the next day though! Interested?

Sir Nordick - Numbers will be limited to 25 for the full day. And, if your going in the holes then your doing it wrong! ;)

erm, the day is a introduction to drifting, inexperienced people will be coming that WILL end up doing it wrong, i just thought that a newbie making a mistake and disappearing down one of those holes may spoil his day.....

How about if I promise to drive around on 2 wheels ;)

Yes, I am interested if I haven't done a trackday at Oulton before then.

Could you still do a half day of each and do one half each day, as I only live about 20 miles away.

Been on a couple of these days now and if you are just starting to drift they really do help your car handeling skills.

Make sure if you go lads you get UNDER your car and get the mud off before it dries. 3 years on its still in places I never thought possible despite hours and hours of cleaning.

If they ever do it on a dry tarmac track I'd be there in a shot. Till then off to silverstone with thee as I can't be doin with the mud :wack:

Ooooo i'll be there with bells on.......

After Sir Nod's passenger ride last time i've been waiting for another to come up :D

Oh and if the craters could be filled I'd be very grateful. I've not done any drifting before and don't relish the thought of damaging my car just yet.

Yeah I can't understate how much of a pain the mud is specially if you have undersealed your wagon as it clings to it big time. Other than that its a good do for leaners for sure low speed low grip it taught me how the basics.

Silverstones drift academy do a day for £85 on tarmac usually only 4-5 of us there so even with the travelling its about the same cost as Oulton so I've been using that instead.
