As we have only 95 ron in Ireland what octane booster would you recommend to use with your stage two chip thats not at a silly price for everyday road use.

Will it then be safe to use your chip with octane booster.

Also interested. we have 97ron up north but its not as easy to find in some places, so want to keep something in the boot that i can turf in with normal 95ron to get me home.

millers is good and cheap. bumps up the RON by 2 points... i got some and its about 3.50 for 1 fill up additive. The NOS stuff is good but its WELL expensive.... about £20

I've not messed about with fuel octane boosters much to be honest.

The only thing I have noticed is that on most boosters, if they say increased octane by 2 points they mean it'll take 95 to 95.2 - so not a great increase. Not all are like this, just be careful.

Is it ok to use normal fuel and just take it very easy ?

It should be ok - just don't go on boost
