Who's Tim Fooks - Bale on the BB?
Pointblank?
He broke his car for parts, was looking into getting a ultima and fire 1000bhp of nitrous through a V8, but he also bought a house at a similar time so im guessing he aint going to do that anymore...
edit just done a search, he has indeed started to build a ultima :D
http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=267203
Yeh he was looking for a small block chevy short block about 6 months ago for the ultima. He sold all his S13 stuff, I bought his gearbox off of him.
Some very good times there. Well done lads. Any reason why Norris didn't do so well on the handling circuit?
Any reason why Norris didn't do so well on the handling circuit?
From what I've seen over the last couple of years his car has no stability under braking.

I asked that on 'tother thread and nobody was forthcoming, except kev who got an 2.7 seconds, he made up for it with his handling performance though.
The 60fts generally wernt that good from all account one supra driver on the other thread only could manage a 1.9 with drag tyres. Not the best surface, so id imagine well see 10s when bigtone takes it to the pod.
Last year the best I could manage was a rather poor 2.2s on track tyres.

2.0 something was my best! (didn't see your request elsewhere).
I'll post up the exact times when Lesa get's in. (She's borrowed the car today & the slips are in the doorcard  )
2 sec dead was my best, could have been soo much better
Thats not actually too bad figjam compared given the surface and the other times, which is a bit odd to me too be honest as with a 2second 60ft the car should have pulled a 12.6 quarter by my calcs  the terminal is really low compared to what it should be, did you miss-shift? 4th gear can be a pain.

Excellent to see all the hard work to get the car ready has paid off Tone, I take it your runs were both clocked on the limiter?
The ND Evo was scary looking under brakes when I saw it last year, but to be honest I would also say Norris is a better engine builder than a driver. If he used ringers (or Kev!!!) like some other Pro entries I reckon there would be a couple of seconds shaved off his times.
clocked on the limiter??
the car never hit the limiter over the finish line, 1/4 mile or top speed if thats what you mean..
Didnt mish shift but wheels were still spinning when I shifted too early bogged down and it all went a bit tits up

I was thinking it was on the limiter on the top speed runs as they are identical on both runs.

I thought you said you hit the limiter in 5th Tone?
There was only one run Stu, I think they put a list of the times and the best one last, hence listing two.
Oh right, that would explain it. Fecking impressive speed though!!! Am I right in thinking that's from a standing start over a single mile?

have you worked out what the car is geared for and at what revs?
~200mph @ 8550
I think we could not hold you to your bet, IIRC it was if somebody else managed 200mph in a 200sx with standard engine you'd give £200 to Charity .... if you do it maybe everyone else should find the £200.
Its only 100 people @ £2
I'll start the ball rolling with £10

How about we start a thread when someone is ready to step up to the mark? (Cough Tone) ;)
It's all well and good people pledging money now, but saying you'll pay and actually paying are two completely different things :)

Little Bandit is no more??? :(
Tone - the 2.0 something 60ft was at 8psi yes? What drag radials were you running?
I ran BF Goodrich Pro Comp T/A's (road legal, plenty grooves in the tread) and couldn't get any better than a 1.9 sec 60ft on that surface. The Mickey T runners were getting slightly better, seemed between them and Toyo R888's were the tyres of choice for the surface. Managed a 2.0 on my road tyres (Falken FK-452's) - really need a tarmac surface like the pod for the BFG's to shine.
Cheers,
Brian.

I thought that car was legendary and his times at totb showed just that.
A real shame:(

I think he was running the BFG G-force drag radial, comp t/a 275/50/15 same as Tom, and what tome had lent to purple. Same tyres as you I think, What size are you running, I suppose teh extra weight in the supra helps grip a bit? It is believed that the mickey Ts are teh best street, but it was debatable as to whether TOTB would allow it this year, early on before totb 6 they were planning on banning it until they had too many protests.
11.9 with a terminal of 113mph is top draw just shows what you can do with out the best power/weight in the world but getting the 60ft down and shifting perfectly. :notworthy Id put money on you getting a 11.6 before long...
